What threads do you always hide?

If any!

If I scroll through and see anyone ask about accountancy help, HMRC advice, tax return, accounts etc I just hide them. I can't stand seeing 90% of the "advice" on those threads being absolute bollocks.

I used to hide the divorce ones when I was going through mine, I didn't want extra headspace going into it.

I came across another there now: Man here seeking advice.🕺

I just can't be doing with it.🙄

Oh my god this. Most threads started by men need to be hidden. There was one amazing one though about a dispute with a neighbour over fencing. I can’t remember that guys username.

I also like a Bridezilla thread, especially when the OP is the Bridezilla but doesn't realise it!

Those are the best!

Although I also like a MIL-zilla thread (God-MIL-la?)

I enjoy them, but I'm not married so I'm entirely inexperienced with wedding planning

Can I wear this dress to a wedding?

Anything with the words 'trans', 'Trump' or 'Meghan' in it.

My cousin stole my baby's name.

Any thread where someone says 'Go educate yourself'.

Threads by people defending phonics.

My cousin stole my baby's name.

Those threads are always batshit! And the name is usually either (a) a name the cousin has previously said they liked, (b) their granny's name, or (c) a really common name.

I love a good Bridezilla thread. Especially when they end up being a Guestzilla thread instead.😆

Guestzilla 😂😂😂

Never said I did. If you read properly you would’ve seen I already said there will be always be women who put the feelings of men first. I’d bet my last mars bar though if you polled every single woman in the world if men should be allowed into women’s spaces and sports I know what the majority answer would be.

Recognising the reality of trans lives- their authenticity, their legitimacy and their rights to inclusion , free from discrimination , has nothing to do with “Putting Men First”. No matter what you believe, and what you say , and how many times your repeat yourself, there are enough people in the world who know and understand these things. This understanding has been growing over time , and I believe it will continue to do so.

You don't speak for all women.

Trans women are men. It’s just simple fact. You seem more bothered than the women who know this 😂. ‘A more nuanced discussion’. Women don’t want men in certain spaces and sports, the end. There’s your discussion.

You don't speak for all women.

Sir Robert Winston said absolutely nothing that contradicts my understanding of gender, sex, biology or what a woman is. You , as with most of mumsnet, clearly understand nothing about this judgement, what it says and what it means, but are simply using it to justify your own prejudice. But that is not a topic for this thread.
I suggest reading the judgement.

🤣 ok.

Bore off Tandora. You think humans can change sex and know better than Sir Robert Winston. Get a grip.

Trans bullshit. But it's impossible to hide, as they trawl all threads with their tedious, repeated nonsense

As the usual posters have so beautifully demonstrated on this v thread.

Irony is a bit like goldy or bronzy, only made of iron, isn't it?

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 17/04/2025 11:04

Tandora · 17/04/2025 10:55

We’re not “insinuating”, we’re very directly calling it exactly what it is. If you don’t like that, I suggest you look inwards.

There are certain topics where once you’ve read one thread , you’ve read them all. It’s the same scenario over and over again , step-parenting threads and child free weddings are two that spring to mind.

Oh and also in terms of what I avoid - I always avoid the dog hating threads 🥺

Trans bullshit. But it's impossible to hide, as they trawl all threads with their tedious, repeated nonsense. 'Protecting women's rights'. Well gee, thanks. I'm a woman and can protect myself, I'm no shrinking wallflower, scared of my own shadow, always 'intimidated' by everything, shaking and crying in the corner. I don't want to be associated and protected by these shrieking, deranged harpies. All I feel for you is disdain. Go kiss Rowland's ass some more and leave normal people be.

Otherwise, royal family threads. Just as tedious.

I’m responding to posts insinuating that because I post on a board that wants female sex based rights I’m anti-trans. That’s fucking rude.

I actually agree with the wanting sex based rights. I agree with the supreme court ruling. I'm sure we would agree on many things but it doesn't change the fact that if people wanted to read or talk about it they'd look at the feminism board. It's just been message after message from a few posters on here that are posting outwith the spirit of the thread and it's really boring, just take it all elsewhere. No, nobody can force you, but it doesn't mean it's not really fucking annoying.

People actually have said they hate Private school threads. And no, the thread hasn't been derailed by Private school parents. Or RF regulars.

There's only one group who've piled on, derailing the thread.🤷‍♀️

It’s not derailing when they’re responding to specifics. And what they point while it flies right over your head. You were cheering along with everyone else about the ruling yesterday 🤣.

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 17/04/2025 10:37
