What are your savings accounts for?

I have a few for different purposes.

I have a Cash ISA which contains my Emergency Fund.

Then Premium Bonds, which is earmarked for the building work we’ll be having done soon.

Then a regular savings account, which I save into each month for further home improvements. This one is 7% interest for 12 months, but I can’t withdraw from it, or I’ll lose the high interest rate.

I have a SIPP and a S&S ISA too, but I only pay into my SIPP currently.

What about you?

Paying for 2 kids to go through university and retirement

Just to have, really. I like knowing I've got extra funds of my own. I always keep one savings account topped up, but the other one goes up & down a little, if I need a little extra in the month.

Self Assessment bill, holidays and mortgage overpayment (because currently getting a higher rate on savings than mortgage rate).

Most goes into my pension, then we've got cash ISAs for house improvement/holidays and S&S ISAs for long term savings.

One for holidays, one for birthdays/Christmas, one for the tax bill and one for emergency funds.

NetflicksAndSleep · 13/04/2025 16:42

I don’t have any savings.

I actually don't know.

Why do you want to know? Very odd question!
