All shapes and sizes - what’s the fuss with a dad bod

A bit of fun for a Saturday morning inspired by a light hearted debate with friends last nights.

Whats your ideal male body type? I like tall and lean, with nice arms. Friends mainly favoured a dad bod!

Broad shoulders and physical strength. I’ve never been attracted to lean, skinny men though, even if they’re muscular.

My DH is broad shouldered and very strong, seeing him move furniture or pick up a box that I can’t shift makes me weak at the knees. 🤣

When I was very young males had to look like they could run a 4 minute mile. That didn’t work out so good.

changed type mid twenties. Met husband who has a Dad bod. Funnily enough he had been super skinny very good county runner. So had we met earlier he still would have been my type. Been married nearly 30 years

Broad shoulders, nice muscular arms, toned/flat stomach. I don’t like hair really. Luckily my DH has this physique!

Tallish and broad. I'm not into very slight men or hugely overweight men but above all else, I'm attracted to faces over bodies. I find some men's faces very sexy and I'm not too bothered what their body is like.

I’m petite, skinny and very toned (exercise 6-7 days a week). I want a man who also likes to keep fit and stay in shape.

Not too tall - around 5’8 probably, broad shoulders, not skinny or athletic, either dad bod or muscular is fine.

We are all different. I am also slim (but tall) and I also train 6 days a week. I do not find a “6 pack” on a man attractive at all and “slim, muscly ” men give me the ick 🤷‍♀️ It takes all sorts. We all like different things and none of us are wrong.

I find dad bod disgusting and just love mental and physical discipline. That shows me you’re in control of your impulses. I love tall and broad shoulders. Must be strong.

Did you miss the "lightheaetrd" bit? No one is saying X is the perfect type and everyone else is a minger. If it were possible for men to have this kind of conversation without it focusing on tits and how we may or may or may not perform in bed, it would be fine. Everyone is allowed a preference, it's how it's discussed.
