I recently visited McDonald's with my clearly more knowledgeable kids and watched them order burgers stripped down of everything bar the burger, bun and ketchup. But then I noticed there was a plus sign to add on as well as a minus to remove. This was even where there were already onions and pickles on the burger so it means you can have EXTRA onions and pickles to the ones already included. Why did I not know this? My mate who was with us did not know either which makes me feel a bit better but how long have I been missing this trick??? Am I being unreasonable to think my kids should really know they need to tell me these things

The added bonus is that these adjustments are likely to be cooked to order so you get food straight off the grill

I've ordered extra big mac sauce on my big mac for about 30 years! It used to be a bit of a pain as you have to go to the grill waiting bay if you use the drive through, but it's freshly made. And has extra sauce!

I am learning so much on here - this is another excellent tip. Mind it sounds as though I go all the time and I don't really go that often but might have to go a bit more often to try these out 😀

I’m coeliac so don’t go into McDonalds, I daren’t have their salads as I can’t guarantee cross contamination.

You can add big Mac sauce to any burger.

They also do another burger sauce that I don't think it's on any of their regular burgers, ranch or something

Now that is a really good tip - I never think of these things but that will save loads
