I mean, her mum is nice looking, for sure. But Michelle is next level!

I think she looked ‘pretty’ before, but even when she joined Corrie she would have had access to wardrobe and makeup.

She looked similar to many many youthful teens you see out and about. It’s quite rare to see a genuinely unattractive young lady. Youth makes you shine.

If she hadn’t done any work to her face or hair, she would look like an average late 30s woman albeit with a great physique as she works out.

However, the treatments, work, hair stuff has put her in the stunning category. She looks amazing.

Well firstly I'm not "slagging off" anyones looks. The only comment I made personally is that she has a good surgeon, which is true (if you like that kind of thing). And If I was an actress I'd probably consider it par for the course that people are going to discuss me - it's one of the reasons I'd never want to be famous.

I find it incredibly sad that a perfectly pretty girl like Michelle felt the need to go down the surgery route to conform to certain ideals.

Men aren't doing this to themselves are they? Maybe ask yourself why.

Didn't say how you'd feel if this comment section was about you in all that back peddling...

I find it weird you're so determined to justify slagging off another woman's looks. She isn't an object you can have an opinion on without causing harm, she's a new mum and a person. Honestly, please tell me if a forum of strangers had an online discussion going on about whether our not your face was all that how would you feel?

I find it really weird that you are saying people who don't like the surgery look and think she looked better before must be "jealous" and that there mustn't be any discussion about it unless it's to say how wonderful someone looks - even if you don't think that. It's a sad sign of the times when women who've practically had their whole face altered surgically are considered the beauty norm and that women who have retained their natural looks or don't desire to have nose jobs/lips fillers/botox/chin implants and god knows what else must be mingers and horrible people. Do you not see the irony in what you're saying?

And what on earth makes you think women should only say "nice" things about others? Sounds like you've been brainwashed by the patriarchy.

I have two dd's and would be horrified if they wanted unnecessary surgery. Luckily we've instilled strong body confidence in them and they don't move in the kind of circles that seem to favour this fake Instagram type look.

Also I said mingers because it is likely true. I have never known a single person to slag off, overtly or in a disguised way, omething or someone that isn't doing better than them. I feel very sorry for your DD's, going on about patriarchy is just a way mean girls justify their bullying by trying to intellectualise it. Perhaps teach your daughters that you love them no matter what they want to look like.

This is bollocks though. If you weren't jealous you would refrain from saying she isn't attractive now, and calling her ordinary. There is no way you are indifferent about it but taking the time to quote me to hammer home your view on a forum about another woman's looks. I dread to think what you're like in real life - if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing.

But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don't think she is beautiful and I am certainly not saying that from jealousy. She was attractive but, to me, she isn't really now. In the photo in OP's post she does look very pretty but when I watched Ten Pound Poms last week I thought at first it wasn't her as she just looked so ordinary.

Threads like this really highlight how everything people assume about women having tendencies to be bitchy jealous and nasty when another woman is beautiful is true. The amount of likely mingers on here trying to say she isn't all that is a joke lol. Just accept another woman is beautiful.

Usually, if someone is unattractive, or has a distinguish feature which is viewed negatively / considered unattractive, fhey will have surgery and it can change their appearance.

I think the thing about MK is that she was always pretty, and she didn’t have a dominant / unpleasant feature to tweak or disguise.

What she has done instead is change everything a little bit

So that whilst she is not unrecognisable, she is very much a completely different version of herself.

I dont think she was conventionally pretty.
She's had work done and is now conventionally pretty......

Dp and I had a debate about the notions of pretty, attractive and beautiful this week...
It was interesting...

I think both are beautiful naturally, especially Michelle and I'm sorry she and any other woman feels they have to try and better their natural beauty. I wish I had looked as beautiful as her in her corrie days. Stunning.

You should have gone to Specsavers, 👓 She looks totally different from when she was first in Corrie.

I know she’s had work done and has hair extensions. However, this doesn’t change my opinion that she looks fantastic. I’d like to find out more about what she’s done (so I can copy!) The things that can be achieved these days is amazing.

The headline though!
Michelle’s mother Jackie ‘ breaks her silence’😂
What a load of cobblers!

Also, sharing an image about your granddaughter coming up and giving you a hug for no reason.

isn’t the granddaughter weeks old? She’s not going up anybody giving hugs.

Weird that you think ‘basic human decency’ is ‘perfection’ and a completely unattainable standard. Like I said, to me (and most of my mates) that’s just a very low bar? I wouldn’t tolerate listening to men discuss women’s looks in the office, in the pub or at home. When men talk about the way women look I just think ‘dickhead’ and then remove myself from the conversation. I don’t want to hear anyone’s opinions on someone’s ears being too ‘sticky out’. Fuuuuuucking hell. The standard of chat in that house must be low, to say the least.

As a pp pointed out, the poster’s husband talked about male celebs personality traits but poor old Michelle was reduced to her looks. There’s no way that is not misogyny. it is not my fault your standards are so low but it does not make me smug to have standards that are higher.

If you disqualify someone from the concept of 'basic human decency' because they commented on an actress's ears then you really do need to get out of the house more.

Actually you did say those things. ‘Every man I have ever know…’ (etc) and talk of stepford husbands as per your previous posts.

I just replied to your most recent post for ease tbqh. Like I said, raise 👏🏻 your 👏🏻 standards👏🏻. Your husband not being a dickhead is not ‘perfection’ or being a stepford husband. It’s just the very least you should expect!

Thank you for demonstrating my theory so perfectly.

You have also quoted me but speaking to someone else. 😆 I never said those things you are blathering on about.

She doesn't look much like her mum

She looked perhaps a mix of her Mum and dad if you see the photos, not like either really. She potentially takes after a grandparent too? We haven't seen her Mum young though.
I remember a wise relative saying to me; "you don't need to look like anyone, you look like yourself."

Yes, methinks the lady doth protest too much?

In my experience the women determinedly informing everyone (whether they're interested or not) how amazing and wonderful their DH is don't tend to be happy. Who exactly are they trying to convince....?

Neither do they launch repeated nasty digs at other people's marriages. Genuinely happy and contented people are much more nonchalant than that.

Inmydreams88 · 23/03/2025 13:14

She was naturally quite an attractive girl before all the fillers/surgery I think. She probably would look more like her mother now if she hadn’t had all the work done.
