This was suggested way back when Merkel was the Chancellor!
And there was an astonishing volume of migrants in Greece Italy and then Germany and Austria

Farage has been so quiet lately. He can see how damaging Trump and Musk are being to Reform's ambitions.

People are finally seeing Putin's hand behind things like Brexit and Trump's actions. But the Russians have underestimated patriotism. Foreign interference is going down like a lead balloon in Europe, including the UK.

Hopefully living through the wonders of Brexit and seeing Trump's shitshow in America will be enough to put people off the Reform Russian-funded charlatans.

It's clear that we need to stop Reform UK making further inroads into politics and keep alert for influences that seek to promote fascism. Just look how the USA has fallen 😬

Thank you to every who has replied. I am really worried now about the future if everyone in UK doesn't wake up and work out how we deal with what's happening.

Migration is an ongoing issue everywhere because of displacement due to war, climate change and economic conditions.

Yes absolutely. And in many of the wars, Russia is involved.

It's a win-win for them – as long as they are utterly ruthless and see civilian populations just as more fodder for their plan.

The Russian involvement in Syria was particularly brutal (and it's not like Assad was some sort of shrinking violet either).

PerkingFaintly · 09/03/2025 00:34

When you see the way groups of Somalis inside Russia turning up at the Russian borders with Finland and Estonia, it becomes clear this is not spontaneous.

The Russian authorities are using the poor sods as fodder for their silly games.

Not too surprising, I suppose, given they send actual Russians en masse into the face of guns in Ukraine, expecting them to be entirely wiped out.

Oh, and they've now started dupe the poor blooming migrants into signing up for that, as well.

Dec 2023
Russia luring migrants from Finnish border for war in Ukraine
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-67647379
Finnish authorities accused Russia of encouraging the influx and abandoning their usual visa checks for travellers entering the border zone.
They highlighted the organised distribution of bicycles, most of them brand new, which migrants used to cover the last stretch of the Russian border zone, bypassing Russia's ban on approaching its border posts on foot.

There was a section on this on bbc news on Friday about Belarus soldiers showing migrants how to get over the border into Poland

WinterMorn · 08/03/2025 23:50

This was raised way back in 2022. Putin has played a masterful long game and now that despicable pair are in the White House, it’s all coming to fruition. We need to stand strong as a country and not give Putin the further satisfaction of our own in-fighting.

Putins done a lot of things but I’m not sure we can blame this one on him. There’s people coming from absolutely everywhere. It might be partly Putin but I don’t think it’s the majority. I have no idea what % it could potentially be.

wonderstuff · 08/03/2025 23:42

His reach is quite scary. Clearly Trump is doing as Putin asks, lots of evidence brexit funding was coming from Russia, BoJo gave secret service the slip to have private meetings with prominent Russians, much cyber crime is coming from Russia. It’s really not good for European security and prosperity.

Everything is now starting to make more sense now.
