….he doesn’t think it’s fair that men don’t get a day and I didn’t agree, so I am getting the silent treatment with a helping of grumpiness, bitterness and spikiness and lots of huffing….what on earth is this about?

I wouldn’t mind but I didn’t even mention it in the first place, he brought it up. Its like living with a huffy teen.

Nor had I, I only saw it on social media and I didn’t even really know what it was or mention it to anyone!

It was him that brought it up and scoffed at why it was needed and why suddenly everything is women focused

It's SO UNFAIR. Women getting a Whole Day for them. What about us menbabies? 364 days are not enough for us. We should have them all. What have women ever done for us? They want everything. Signed, Andrew and the other Tate, Jordan Petersen, Laurence Fox and all the other bitter and twisted men who have been so sadly let down by us mothers, sisters and daughters.

Ok, I feel like I need help. Maybe this is a US v. UK thing, but IWD is just something people post about on social media here, mostly. Is it a bigger deal there? This is at least the third thread I've seen about it, and I'm not getting the consternation among the men. Also, can these men not Google?

He is telling you loud and clear he has an issue with you promoting ‘feminist’ views. He knows he can’t tell you that when you speak to your dds. So he is going side ways instead.

Marked annually on March 8th, IWD is one of the most important days of the year to:

  • celebrate women's achievements
  • educate and awareness raise about women's equality
  • call for positive change advancing women
  • lobby for accelerated gender parity
  • fundraise for women focussed charities
(from the IWD website)

Ask him which of these items in particular the he's against OP. It will reveal the issues that your daughter's are going to face in the future related to how their own father thinks about them.
