Half-naked woman on CBBC Operation Ouch!

AIBU to feel it’s inappropriate to have “Dynamite”, who is a skimpily-dressed gladiator on a kids’ show?

She appears on segments of the new series, IMO flirting with the handsome twin Black doctors, Raph and Dan, calling them “boys”. It just seemed sexualised to me.

I’ve attached a picture of her, this is how she dresses on the show.

I swear there are some bizarre ideas out there about what is “sexualised”.

I saw a while back that Yona Knight-Wisdom (Jamaican professional diver) had done this charity event encouraging girls and young women to learn to swim. People actually made complaints because he was wearing Speedos when pictured at the pool with these girls. Seriously?! What was a professional diver, at an event that involved swimming, expected to wear?!

itsgettingweird · 03/03/2025 16:54

Oh no - an athlete as a role model.

Whatever next 👀

I think you've just had your arse handed to you on a plate op 😁I'm now wanting to read your gym wear post.

I think I have 😅😂
Wasn’t expecting this many comments in the time it took me to do laundry, pick up a bottle of milk and do the school run haha.

This is my first ever thread though, so not sure what other thread you’re referring to.

I’ve never been disturbed by the Olympics etc, I think I just felt this was a bit out of place on that show and the way she was interacting with the sexy doctors (and maybe I am a bit jealous)

Yeh because obviously we would not want our youngsters to see a strong, fit, healthy athlete as a role model.

CatkinToadflax · 03/03/2025 16:50

I recently chaperoned a panto she was in. She’s a lovely young woman who was fantastic with the children in the cast. I think it’s brilliant that a fit, strong, healthy young woman is appearing on such a popular children’s show.

Idontjetwashthefucker · 03/03/2025 16:50

FFS what is with all these posts about what women are wearing, first women in gyms, now this bollocks

Namechangetry · 03/03/2025 16:49

I much prefer Operation Ouch to feature a strong healthy active woman in sports wear than the 'trans non binary' one who tried to storm a medical conference to shut down medics who don't agree with her.

Hwi · 03/03/2025 16:48

Very modest bra, very modest shorts. Not sexualised, I think. Obviously I would prefer if they wore actual clothes, but she does not look obscene at all.

LBFseBrom · 03/03/2025 16:48

She looks OK in that picture, not showing bits or anything. CBBC wouldn't have nakedness or sexual provocation.

RIPVPROG · 03/03/2025 16:41

Isn't gladiators aimed at children/families? She's just wearing her kit , she's not in a thong and fishnets

IButtleSir · 03/03/2025 16:39

Why did you feel the need to tell us the doctors are black? Is that relevant somehow?

ZookeeperSE · 03/03/2025 16:38

For fucks sake don’t google Brian Jacks whatever you do. He was all over kids TV in the 70s in Superstars and the like, in his skimpy er, sports clothing….

Delphiniumandlupins · 03/03/2025 16:33

I've watched a lot of Operation Ouch but not recently. Seems they have found another pair of twin brother doctors, how many can there be? I've always admired their frankness about some quite gory topics. Gladiators costumes are just sports clothing.

Shessweetbutapsycho · 03/03/2025 16:12

Why reference the ethnicity of the doctors (which has zero to do with your bigoted views of female athletes’ attire by the way)…?

maybe it is a BOGOF of judgment and prejudice

fancyfrogs · 03/03/2025 16:30

Good grief
To go with a MN fave... give your head a wobble

lifeonmars100 · 03/03/2025 16:28

She's not wearing a low cut cleavage enhancing push up bra and a thong! Seems perfectly decently covered to me

couchparsnip · 03/03/2025 16:23

Are you for real? Surely you knew how this would go.

LittleMG · 03/03/2025 16:23

Everything about this post offends me

AnxiouslyAwaitingSpring · 03/03/2025 16:21

To be fair that's not what OP said. You're twisting her words there massively

No she’s not, why on earth has she mentioned that they’re black? It has nothing to do with her point. Dreadful and v unreasonable!

LittleMG · 03/03/2025 16:22

Kuretake · 03/03/2025 14:55

the handsome twin Black doctors

lol

came here for this WTAF

littleluncheon · 03/03/2025 16:19

Surely not black doctors? On CBBC! What is the world coming to.

AnxiouslyAwaitingSpring · 03/03/2025 16:21

I 100% agree OP but you won’t get much agreement on here. It's the current trend to dress inappropriately in all aspects of life. Last year we had a mum picking up her kids in hot pants and a sports bra! Another sent her twin 9yr old girls to a party in the same! 9yr old girls in hotpants & a sports bra! Just wrong

ZoeCM · 03/03/2025 16:19

She's not half-naked, FFS! I agree with the posters who say the Gladiators are much better role models than TikTokers.

Eightdayz · 03/03/2025 16:17

You're really getting worked up over this? Really?

Why does silly season feel like it's happening EVERY SINGLE DAY on mn lately
