To be ecstatic I’ve finally been acknowledged by my teenage crush !!

Lad I had a crush on as a teen liked a comment I made on his page earlier this week

He was such a looker!!!!

the bloke I crushed like mad on at 15 has finally come up in my FB notifications as liking my comment !!

AIBU!!! 🤣

Oh, I get it. My teenage crush lasted about 3 years, and it was decades before I saw him again at a reunion. I hardly dared speak to him at the time, never mind let him guess how I felt. He approached me with an anecdote I had completely forgotten. I didn't fancy him any more, but I let my inner teen enjoy the moment.

Why? Presumably the guy is a similar age it's not as if he's still a teenager.

People are generally excited to get a response from famous people they follow on social media. I don't see this as being very different.

At my school reunion when we were 40 my huge crush told me that he'd fancied me but I didn't even look at him!
(I was terribly bullied and walked with my head down so as not to catch anyone's eye)

I was having lunch and the boy (now a grown man) I had a crush on when I was 15 (and even kissed once) walked in. I immediately turned 15 at that moment and was too embarrassed to even look at his direction.

I hope my teenage crush never crosses my path, last I heard he’d been a guest of her majesty. Had a few baby mommas, and a nice big pot belly due to drinking 6 pints each day after doing a day’s trade. He was so attractive he used to even affect the female teachers. Only 5 foot 6 inches but enormous confidence and charisma. He grew up in a rough estate from a broken home, he could have probably become whatever he wanted given half a chance.

This describes my ex to a T, except Her Majesty's Pleasure bit. Maybe it was after I knew him 🤔
He took his Teacher out on a 'date' to the Pictures when still her pupil.

I got chatting to mine a few months ago. He said he remembered me as one of the 'hot girls'. I was both ecstatic and distraught at the missed opportunity in equal measure. Until the penny dropped he probably didn't remember me from Adam, and was just being nice.
