I put this in AIBU for traffic. I am furious and I know what I’m feeling is reasonable. Trump has convinced/bullied whatever Romania into releasing the bastards and has allowed them to fly to America. They are on their way to Florida. No doubt to be wined and dined at bloody Maralago. They will now have a luxury life and continue to be able to abuse and exploit women and girls and also corrupt the minds of boys and young men. 😡

He has had so much influence in the UK that secondary schools are having to hold special lessons/assemblies addressing it. Terrifying.

Mittens67 · 27/02/2025 17:10

I am wondering how the GC feminists who said and still say they like trump because he “knows what a woman is” will defend this.
I am very much on side as a feminist who knows that sex is immutable but I would never be a single issue voter and in no way like any single thing about that orange psychopath.
The fact that he doesn’t think men in frocks are women is no more indicative of his nature than hitler being a vegetarian.
It will be of small comfort to the women who die from no access to abortion even in medical emergency that the president knows how to differentiate females from males.
We all know trump can recognise a genuine vagina when he sees one. After all, as he has boasted himself he can grab us by the pussy whenever he wants.
Trump has shown his contempt for women again and again. This bollocks with the Tate scum is just today’s example.
How any intelligent woman can support him in any way is a complete mystery to me.
Trump is not about being left or right wing. He is a sub species all of his own.
And let’s not forget that this moron holds the nuclear button.

So mine and yours won't be. Just people less clever and enlightened than us. That's really patronising.

Where did I say anything about intelligence?
Please don't put words into my mouth.

I think that most of the posters here need to have a bit more faith in their kids to see through his bullshit. It's wild that so many are worried their boys are going to turn into misogynistic monsters because of some cigar smoking cretin on the internet. The moral panic is massively OTT in my opinion.

I'm confident in my son's ability to see through this bullshit because we actively encourage an environment where women are treated with respect.

But I would be naive to think that other young boys are being brought up in the same way. There are grown men who have their head turned by men like Tate. What about their sons? And now we have Trump and Musk legitimising this type of behaviour and views.
You're hugely underestimating how big an issue this is and how harmful this is for women.

Yes they are a pair of twats, but they have not been found guilty. We can't have a situation where the authorities can lock people up for an indefinite period of time or impose strict rules upon their life without being convicted. It would be a slippery slope indeed!

They were not locked up. They had their passports held whilst the case came to court because they were a flight risk. Do you really have a problem with that given that they were charged with multiple rapes, trafficking of children and money laundering?

Maggieb90 · 27/02/2025 17:03

I bet they are loving all the attention, cameras waiting, so arrogant!

StrikeAlways · 27/02/2025 17:02

hamstersarse · 27/02/2025 14:37

How is Trump involved?

It's a genuine question

He ‘lobbied’ over the past two weeks for Romania to release them.

Trump's Waterloo? Are you kidding.
He continues to gather his nest of weirdos and sickos together.

Exactly.

They seem like a pair of tw@ts but pretty insignificant really so not worth getting worked up about.

No so, in the UK, they, especially Andrew have a huge influence amongst teenage boys and men. There blogs are all over the place, telling them that girls/womens only role is to support “their man”. That if they don’t do as they’re told, make them. If they don’t comply with want they want in sex, make them, using violence if necessary, so they learn respect. Ask any young girl in the UK and they will tell you that the many, many of the boys at school and college admire them and are influenced by them. I don’t see that as insignificant.

Have you spoken to any secondary teachers recently? Ask them how much of an issue it is in schools. Especially the female teachers.

SerenityNowSerenityNow · 27/02/2025 16:44

So if you had sons, you really think that they would be persuaded to get into the sex trafficking business because of Andrew Tate?

It's not about young men getting into the sex trafficking business.
It's about how men treat women generally in society.

No insignificant for the young men that use them as role models and live copying them or the poor women they sold.

Yes. And in his posts on X etc.

Andrew Tate has some lovely lesson about how to have sex with women - choke, slap etc
Just what our teens need to learn about - how ‘real’ men have sex and how women need to learn to submit to them.

Does he really actually SAY this stuff on camera?

Ive heard of him of course but I don't really know anything about him.

They have a huge following and are actually very intelligent which makes them something we need to be acutely aware of as they will undoubtedly have roles created for them by Trump. I do wonder though is he introducing too many similar ‘characters’ to his circle . I can almost see Elon getting a bit jealous - perhaps a ‘scotty’ moment to Trump and the Tate brothers becoming a bit Dr Evil/mini me

If you’re really so uneducated on who he is you need to give him a Google, he’s a self proclaimed misogynist, accused of rape & people trafficking and has a huge online male following of incels.

There’s an interesting but scary booked called Men who Hate Women about the online platforms he's spawned, it’s very disturbing.

Who are the next candidates for this merry band? Anyone have any ideas?

Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon

SerenityNowSerenityNow · 27/02/2025 16:41

And what's he influencing these 10 million followers to do?

Treat women like shit.
He's a self proclaimed misogynist. He tells men (predominantly young men) that women are whores, that the only purpose of women
Is sex and childbearing.

He views intelligence as weak and claims men are only valued for their physical strength.

He's ridiculous ( he claims men who enjoy sex with their wives are gay which is clearly nonsensical ) but he does have influence and it's concerning.

I'm calling bs on that. Influencing millions? Come off it. Don't be so melodramatic. A handful of morons at best who, even without the Tates, would still be morons.

They are headline news, above Putin on several sites.
The US president talks about them.
They are not Kyle in his mum's attic.
