What?! Yuck, no!

How on earth would you handle or a baked Camembert if you don't eat the rind?!

Cheesandcrackers · 26/02/2025 19:08

Prob best to post on French Mumsnet but I think rind is fine.

GetMyAgentOnThePhone · 26/02/2025 19:08

Course you eat it. Your brother is a weirdo!

PrancerandDancer · 26/02/2025 19:07

I find the ride makes a lovely edible scoop for the warm gooey cheese 😋

Hapagirl48 · 26/02/2025 19:05

I didn’t know it was an option not to eat it 😂. Why wouldn’t you.

Igneococcus · 26/02/2025 18:43

I eat it, I really like the contrast of the texture of the rind with the gooey inside but I was at a cheese tasting at a really fancy cheese shop in Toulouse a few years ago and the woman who did the tasting was adamant that it needs cutting off. Not because it's dangerous to eat but she claimed it tastes bitter. I still eat the rind though.

AdaColeman · 26/02/2025 18:36

Of course you should eat the rind, it's all part of the taste experience!

I bet he cuts the crust off his bread.

ginasevern · 26/02/2025 18:28

He's being daft. Of course it's edible, it's always been edible. They'd have a scull & crossbones on the packaging otherwise. Everyone I know eats the rind but it is of course down to personal choice.

LadeedahYadaYada · 26/02/2025 18:26

oh yes! i'm with you! and the rind of brie too! best bits!!

Blubbles · 26/02/2025 18:22

SeeYouNextThriday · 26/02/2025 18:21

How do you hold it if you remove the rind?

🤣

Pigeonqueen · 26/02/2025 18:22

Love it! Definitely not inedible!

SeeYouNextThriday · 26/02/2025 18:21

How do you hold it if you remove the rind?

Ultravox · 26/02/2025 18:19

Eh? Of course it’s meant to be eaten

TheMorels · 26/02/2025 18:18

I really want baked Camembert now.

tobee · 26/02/2025 18:15

Of course. I love the contrast. Don't really get why you wouldn't

NamelessNancy · 26/02/2025 18:03

Besides, if you remove the rind surely there's hardly any cheese left?

ByDreamyMintNewt · 26/02/2025 18:03

Love the rind!

Bonjovispyjamas · 26/02/2025 18:02

Of course you eat it, every part of camembert is delicious 😋

GrainneIsAinmDom · 26/02/2025 18:00

I eat it too 🤷‍♀️

Does he scoop out the middle of a slice when he eats it?

CuddlyDodoToy · 26/02/2025 18:00

The rind is edible and meant to be eaten with the soft cheese. I hate it when people scrape out the soft bit and leave behind the rind. Very bad manners.

Liveafr · 26/02/2025 18:00

It's fine

NamelessNancy · 26/02/2025 17:59

You'd BU not to!

TheMorels · 26/02/2025 17:59

Best bit!
