Good morning, I am new to this. I applied for Dla for my daughter in October 2024. Scan date 16th October 2024. I caved in and called yesterday, told that someone has been assigned to her case now. Does anyone have a rough idea or similar situation as to how long a decision takes after being told this?

@126t no not heard anything have you? i have rung them but they just said there usually done close to the renewal date

Hi I have called DLA today the man said my renewal want be look at until the day it ends 13th of October

Renewal date was 23/8 and it was exactly a 2 week payment that went in , his rates are MRC and LRM at the minute so hoping its just been the last 2 weeks of award paid out and new one hopefully starting, ive had no correspondence from dla regards renewal application , hoping they are just behind with applications, can't ring them until Tuesday as B/H Monday in N.I

When was your renewal date it could be the last bit of the original award what rate was he on

This has happened to me this morning but have sent of my little boys renewal back in June with no correspondence from dla at all , worried this is a sign things have been declined and award stopped

When was your renewal date it could be the last bit of the original award what rate was he on

Applied 28th March this year for CDP (in Scotland) - just been awarded today.

Hope this helps others and offers reassurance.

Sent my renewal back 9/05, claim due to run out end of July, got the award letter 4 weeks after sending forms to say HRC, HRM until 2037.

Just an update. Rang back and chose dla enquiries option 4 on the menu the last one. And spoke to an advisor who told me my daughter was awarded high rate care done yesterday.

I just rang to see if my daughters claim has been looked at. Scan date also 1st may. They have just told me a decision has been made but they can't tell me. I haven't received a text message. So I am guessing its been declined.

I also applied for my daughter scan date same as my sons renewal 1st may. No decision as of yet. They did ask for her birth certificate though

I have sent my paperwork today i didn't think we had to pay for postage but my post office charged me 7.00

When I took my DD application to the post office they said there is no way to pay for tracked/recorded postage with the address that is given!? They said they needed a postcode, but I couldn't find one anywhere online!

Our scan date was March and we received a payment Friday and award letter on Saturday.
