What goes here (in my fridge)?

So. My fridge declutter and clean has got a bit out of control and I’ve dismantled the fucker and cleaned it thoroughly.

But what goes in these stupid little holes/shelves? They seem completely useless.

Ffs. I’m gonna need a fucking crème egg now. I’ll need to send my DH out…

Actually you need 5. One to eat and one to pop in each of the 4 random fridge holes!

Cadbury crème eggs

Don't know how I've never realised this but I always thought they were Cadbury cream eggs. Seems so wrong now I've written it down.

World rocked.

But yes. Those shelves are perfect for cream crème eggs

Merryoldgoat · 21/02/2025 18:43

Fridge clean and devoid of old veg and out of date yoghurts and dressing.

Freezer now. I’m honestly living the dream.

That's the strangest interior of a fridge door I've encountered. Especially seeing it with the jars to confirm the scale of it. How odd!

Right?? It’s weird.

Hahaha I had two 5ltr gallon bottles once!! I made my husband take them in to the clinic as I felt weirdly embarrassed 🤣 I'd didn't refrigerate them though...

I did the two last year and didn't have to refrigerate because they come with acid preservatives in them, just kept them outside as it was cool, was definitely embarrassing handing them over at reception though, agreed!

SlinkySprings · 21/02/2025 18:36

Do they ask you to refrigerate it? I've had to take wee samples (albeit not so large) and it's never crossed my mind to put it in the fridge first...

I had to refrigerate a 5 gallon container of urine last month for 48hrs, so some of us do.

@Miaowzabella I only filled it to 4 gallons and it took 24hrs, was for an Endocrinology problem.
Sorry op, ignore my wee gatecrash! 😬

No problem at all - funnily enough I nearly had to do one a while back!

It’s actually very useful - highly recommend.

I think it might be because there’s a stupid water tank (or mould generator) that takes up space. I will get a plumbed in one next time.

I also have a mould maker tank it's a pain in the arse and rarely gets used.
On each side of mine I have more sensible shelves, there is 4 the lowere to will only hold short jars the top two will hold glass pint milk bottles.
I have no idea what you should put in yours !

Are people refrigerating their wee?

Yes.
Never just flush it.
Government traces DNA, if you piddle in a milk carton or small jar etc, pop it in the fridge for a fortnight, then pour it down the kitchen sink, the government can't infect your bum hole with 7g technology and COVID28.37 - The Covidest Covid.

You're forgiven. That cheese drawer looks fantastic. My cheese lives in little shelves and lidded shelves in my fridge door and if you open the door too briskly, they all fall out. I will be avoiding such a stupid arrangement (and looking out for something like your cheese drawer) when I buy my next fridge, if I ever get to have a new one (21 years old and still going strong).

No, but I bought it 13 years ago online when 8 months pregnant and didn’t look closely at the internal areas

Maybe nothing is supposed to go there, perhaps it's designed to help keep the cold air circulating if the fridge is packed?

ZookeeperSE · 21/02/2025 18:09

They look like boxes at the theatre, but not the good, posh, expensive kind. The weirdly placed ones with a restricted view that are usually left empty unless it’s a sell out show. The last time I went to the theatre that had them, they’d used them to put sound system speakers in. Maybe you could do that? Have a fridge disco that starts up every time you open the door?
