To ask who is the biggest grifter you've seen?

I remember Anthea Turner punting flakes at her wedding. Carol Vorderman was always quick to front a financial product. Just seen Carole Malone on my timeline oiling on about weight loss jabs.

Any others spring to mind?

All those bloody "influencers" with their Temu/Primark/Home Bargains/Poundland/B and M/The Range "hauls". Basically promoting the buying of tat for tat's sake, over consumption of shiny things that will more than likely end up in landfill. I do watch some of the videoes and wonder where on earth they put all the crap they buy, the mugs, the candles, the cheapo make up and the seasonal decor.

A woman who has set up an organisation to enrol clever career women (who are obviously vulnerable in some way) with a load of twaddle, like they are there to evolve the human race and they have a higher purpose in life. it's a cult. So bad they give their money to her scam and some have even changed their Wills in favour of the organisation. Can't say who in case I'm sued. But it's bad, very bad.

@taxguru It does amuse me that many Americans and Canadians claim never to have heard of her.

And that aside, she was actually in a relationship and living with a well known Toronto chef (Cory Vitiello) when she started dating Harry. Vanity Fair had to change the dates she gave in her initial 'Mad About Harry' interview when it became apparent that she was still living with Cory at the time!

a nice example being that for years and until very recently, if someone died without a will or next of kin in the duchies of Cornwall and Lancaster, then the queen/king/prince of wales would snaffle their whole estate.

Probably Meghan Markle, considering how much she seemingly conned the RF and public. Honestly, a £32 million wedding for a twice divorced actress! Personally I didn't have a good feeling about her from the start, and have since been validated.

She performs well for her management company who make all the decisions for her and arrange all the contracts. All she has to do is turn and grin like the Cheshire Cat and kee-ching the money comes rolling in.

Well, until someone new comes along.

Who can blame her for doing ao?

Personally, I wouldn't buy any product related to her promoting or advertising it.

And, her fundraising is dodgy as fuck, she's blatantly spending the money on funding her lifestyle, but she manages to garner such loyalty in her fanbase they seem to think it's absolutely fine to spend donations raised for a cause on your mortgage / business class / personalised number plates / whatever the fuck she pleases.

She raised thousands for a new refuge, never happened, the last I heard she'd still not accounted for a significant chunk of the money.

I could go on....

Total grifter, always had been, I think people are starting to see it though.

Ooh, I didn’t know about any of this! Not surprised though. I don’t know if I’m horrible but I’m so cynical that I never donate to anyone or anything because of things like this.

a) the dates don't match - he used it for weeks afterwards
b) he then stiffed tens of thousands of parents of children with SEN in private schools with a VAT bill for thousands each, meaning many of them will have to move schools.
