Being naked in front of DP/DH

Are you comfortable being visibly naked in front of your partner? Would you be ok with the lights on/daylight etc and walk around with nothing on?

Or would you have a towel/underwear/a sheet over you?

i’m not bothered about my wobbly bits on a daily basis, and felt just the same way when I was several stone lighter, so I don’t see it as a body image thing as such, I juat wouldn’t walk around naked in front of him. He thinks this says something fundamental about our relationship.

YABU - I think its normal to feel 100% at ease walking about naked in front of my DP/DH

YANBU - I’d rather keep some things undercover and feel self conscious naked standing up and walking about the bedroom/house.

It's normal to walk round naked in front of your partner but you're entitled to feel how you feel. Your partner is right that it says something about your relationship, it sends the message that you don't trust him and that you don't believe his attraction to you is genuine.

My DH doesn’t think I don’t trust him because I don’t walk around naked in front of him. 🤨

Not unreasonable at all. I must admit I don’t have any body hang ups and am very happy with my body, just cannot stand the feeling of being naked so wouldn’t do it!

I’m really surprised the results are 25% wouldn’t!!! What?? Madness to me. He’s seen me have a baby, I’m really not bothered if he sees me getting changed 😂😂

We're both overweight and wobbly, both 100% comfortable wandering around naked in front of each other.

BIossomtoes · 17/02/2025 15:20

We’ve both been walking around naked in front of each other for nearly 30 years now. I see no reason to stop.

Crikeyalmighty · 17/02/2025 15:20

@SnowflakeSmasher86 I'm heavier than I should be and don't feel comfortable walking around naked whereas same goes for my H , who has no such issues.

ExtraOnions · 17/02/2025 15:18

I walk about with no clothes on … and I’m a fatty, lot heavier than when we got married, his body has changed to, just part of getting older. We love each other though, and a bit of fat, or a baldy head won’t change that

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 17/02/2025 15:17

I will get changed in front of DH without much concern but I won’t walk around naked. Don’t do that when there is no one else at home either though.

Dontlletmedownbruce · 17/02/2025 15:15

I wouldn't walk around naked if you paid me, absolutely mortified. Dh says i should be more comfortable and he loves me no matter what etc but i have horrible fat body and i wouldn't subject anyone to it, it's bad enough catching a glimpse in the mirror occasionally.

W0tnow · 17/02/2025 15:14

I haven’t voted because I think both statements are perfectly normal positions to take. I’m more the former.
