How many sausages is too many?

Chipolatas, specifically. Naice ones.

DH out for pizza and cinema with the elder DC, toddler in bed so I'm going for the healthy option of sausage sandwich for tea. 5 left in the packet, 3 is my usual number of choice to comfortably fill the sandwich and satisfy the craving, but leaving 2 chipolatas seems silly. Lashings of ketchup, obviously.

YANBU - eat all five
YABU - stop right there little miss piggy, too many!

I'd never cook half a packet as leftover sausages are great. I like them added to a spicy tomato sauce with pasta.

But if you cook some and leave them in the fridge, won't DH and kids have them when they get in from the cinema? Sitting there on a plate in the fridge they're just begging to be eaten by someone wanting an evening snack.

(I know this is no longer a dilemma, as OP has disposed of the lot.)

Cook them all. Three in your sandwich tonight, two for snacks or sliced into pasta with veg and passata for easy DC lunch tomorrow. Which would mean you and DH could have a more delicious lunch afterwards.

Hmm. I need an easy supper after my journey on Monday and there’s a Waitrose next to the train station I’ll arrive at….

Edited to add- that will be 3 normal sausages + beans.
