Having 13 children with different women, via multiple routes such as surrogacy is unhinged. Whatever the reason behind this is, it's not out of love and desire of a big family life. Many of those kids are estranged. There are threads on MN where women are being slated for wanting a 4th child and get criticised for contemplating this so how can we think that Elon's actions are anything but sinister? He doesn't have to say in those words exactly 'I am a Nazi and want to save the population by building a superior race' but we can all read between the lines (his weird salute thing followed by his appearance and a German far right event two days later and tweets about population) and draw the conclusion.

Having thirteen children with three different women reportedly using IVF sort of gives a clue as to what he is trying to do especially when he is talking about rapidly reducing birth rate. Smacks of trying to repopulate the world with his own genes. That isn't normal behaviour.

@sparrowhae There is a body of thought that says the world is over populated and that can lead to lower living conditions, overcrowding, scarce resources and social unrest. A higher population needs more housing, more infrastructure, increased use of natural resources which are finite anyway. So even though birth rates are declining this is not necessarily a bad thing.

My worry more is Elon Musk means that the birth rate is declining in western developed countries with white people particularly. This smacks of genocide and not a million miles away from Hitlers thinking in the 1930s. Why does he think we need lots of mini Musks with the same bigoted, sexism and racist views as him.

If it helps OP, they can already pretty much artificially gestate lambs, so it won't belong before they're on to humans and then women won't have to do the reproductive labour. Maybe just harvesting tissue/eggs whatever to get things started, but women will be free from having to have children!! 💅
