To be annoyed when people say ....

low key ? For example someone says " does this top not low key go with these jeans" it seems to be used all the time now. Maybe annoyed is not the right word but it's irritating 🤣 . Light-hearted post really. Are there any sayings that seem to be "trending" that annoys you ?

It's youth/ youtuber / Internet speak. Probably American but not 100% but definitely hear it alot on American youtube videos

Yes it's absolutely everywhere.
My sis uses it loads:
I'm low key thinking of going blonde again.
I low key love that show.
I'm low key annoyed at my boss today
Etc etc
She's 34!

On a game show when the compere wants to invite applause they say Give it up for .. . It really gives me the ick.

I think it's a younger generation thing. DD who was at school in the SE until last year used it a lot, despite me pointing out that it made no sense :)

My DD says this ALL THE TIME! It drives me nuts!
