Friend at it in the kitchen??

Haven't seen a friend for a while so she came over to visit today and brought food and her new boyfriend along with her so I could meet him. From what she had said he seemed okay but he didn't talk at all.

About half an hour in she decided she was going to put a pizza on and the boyfriend followed her though the kitchen. Fine.

Anyway, after about 5 mins she hadn't come back in and I could here 'whispering' so went in to see if she needed help or anything. Turns out.. they were at it over the side!!

She pretended it was nothing and tried to act normal but I told them to take the pizza home and carry on their afternoon in their own house.

They both stormed out.

Was I being over the top? I'm all up for everyone loving a shag but I've never wacked my pants down at lunch at my mates?

I believe this happened but I'm concerned for your friend. Was she coerced by this sullen boyfriend who refused to speak to you in your own home?

CandidClarisse · 10/02/2025 23:22

I bet they go wild in IKEA

Pizza only takes 10 minutes to cook, I'd tell her to dump him. It needs to be at least roast dinner length of time to be worth bothering!

ThePoshUns · 10/02/2025 23:01

Pizza slut

chocmalt · 10/02/2025 22:20

Well, sadly it sounds like she may be so desperate to keep her man now she's got him that she'll go along with crap like this to keep him interested. Something tells me this relationship won't last, but she may have lost all her friends by the time it falls apart.

Notsosure1 · 10/02/2025 22:08

Is he known as ‘Sloppy Giuseppe Joe’ by any chance? 🤢

HangryLikeTheHulk · 10/02/2025 22:05

Pizza Rut

Dontlletmedownbruce · 10/02/2025 21:34

Oh god they sound awful. Actually the not speaking to you is almost as shocking as the sex.

Anyone else desperately trying to think of a funny pizza/sex pun and failing 😄

Is her name Margarita, by any chance?

ThePoshUns · 10/02/2025 20:38

Are they on drugs? This is not normal behaviour

LittleMG · 10/02/2025 18:59

I’m shocked they were annoyed, did they want to stay and you all eat the pizza up the very table?! I’m married and have kids but I would
be so so embarrassed, I think you’ve taken it well!

I am much older so have forgotten the days when passion overcame comfort. 'Just popping a pizza in the oven' means something else nowadays obviously.

I think it’s about to become the mumsnet version of ‘discussing Uganda’!

Fountofwisdom · 10/02/2025 18:43

Disgusting, disrespectful behaviour in your home. That would be the end of the friendship for me. No going back from that.

evtheria · 10/02/2025 18:08

Both amused and disgusted, I can't believe they weren't even embarrassed or apologetic about it! I too would have not wanted the pizza, OP.
My verdict is an extremely drawn out, nasal vocal fry "ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww" right now.

She's never really had a proper boyfriend before so it was the first time me really meeting someone she was actually with. Whenever she's been before she's been fine and I'd say one of my closest friends. We tell each other a lot but there has never been a chat about a chance of humping at each others houses.

it's shocking but you do have a good turn of phrase, OP!
he sounds like a right catch, constantly handsy, rude and without the ability to make basic conversation. Good luck to them!

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 10/02/2025 17:59

They sound so awkward as a pair

She’s picked an absolute prize there. Is awkward/rude and doesn’t talk when meeting someone new but will happily sneak off for a shag on their kitchen counter while they are sat in other room.

He wouldn’t be welcome in my home again and I am a ridiculously chilled and laid back person! I’d also be expecting an apology from my friend.

ForestFox44 · 10/02/2025 17:49

What the hell... gross... and they stormed out!! The nerve of being annoyed at you... good riddance to them

MrsMoastyToasty · 10/02/2025 17:48

Have the school holidays started already?

is your friend like this normally? Or is a change in her since she started seeing him?
