For me it's people.
Other than partner and kids , I have 2 family members, Mum and sister, and we live so far apart we rarely speak or meet up. We have nothing in common.
I have 3 friends I see every month or so.
I'm envious of people that come from big loving families.
I can go for days without speaking to anyone outside of my household. I used to be quite a sociable person. Now I have no confidence.
Loneliness sucks.

It's really tough isn't it. I feel some days im verging on crazy with such little contact and conversation with others. The isolation is truly awful.

It’s very tough. I really want to do something about it but not sure where to start. I joined a group called Meet up but haven’t been able to bring myself to go to anything yet. I’m only in my 40s as well. I don’t think life should be like this. I feel so isolated.

I am lonely too. I live alone and work from home. I don’t see enough people and I don’t have a partner

Sleep
Pedicures
Sex

Edited to add I'm not aiming to be a foot girl on only fans. The pedicure and sex are completely separate but both needed.🤣

The ability to relax. I have had a frenetic life, and being recently retired it is a bit odd to have free time

LlynTegid · 07/02/2025 21:09

I'd like more afternoon daylight in winter. I am old enough to remember year round BST when I was young (four years?) and would like it to return.

LillyPJ · 07/02/2025 21:09

New experiences - new places, activities, people... Anything new inspires me and I should make more effort to find new things. I find it's too easy to get stuck in a rut.

Warm weather. It's been sub 10 degrees here for months.

Redhairandhottubs · 07/02/2025 21:06

Time with my partner. We live half an hour apart, both have young adult DC, needy dogs and full on jobs so never seem to get enough time together.

Other than that, life is pretty good. I'm very lucky.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 07/02/2025 21:04

@FashionCrazy so many things on this thread!

Meaningful friendships definitely! I have tried so hard to make new friends but those friendships are still in their infancy, I miss having strong effortless friendships where I can be truly myself.

Time - oh to have time to do all the million jobs that need done in my house and garden! And still have time to do the nice things, hike up mountains and see friends and read and self care.

scandalot · 07/02/2025 21:00

Time alone. I'm lucky to have an amazing job and a close family. But there's not a moment just for me.

Time. I could fix all my other issues with time.

Time to shop for and prepare more fresh fruit and veg. More time for exercise. More time for sleep. More time for work so less stress. More time to help my kids with homework / uniform / fun things. More time to spend with my husband. More time to give the cat attention. More time to clean. More time to keep in touch with my family. More time to wash the car, go to the charity shop, volunteer, organise the filing, clear out the shed, paint the woodwork, deep clean the oven, remember to book dd an asthma review, generally be organised, think about nice outfits, polish my shoes. More time to delete the 8000 emails in my work inbox and god knows how many in my personal one. Why does life have to be so full up all the time.

Money! Lots of it ideally but I’d settle for just a bit more.
Everything else in my life is really quite lovely, so I shouldn’t complain I suppose!

More good books, more wins for my football club who I've supported since 1969, though they've only lost once this season (guess who I support 😁).

Apart from that, and more importantly I want/ need reassurance that the seemingly minor (indigestion/bloating) things my adult child has had for over 3 months, is nothing to worry about.
