Every day waking up to yet another insane declaration from Trump. America is losing the respect of the world

It's like a parallel universe - how did America come to this? So now he plans to ethnically cleanse Gaza we are told - to create the 'Riviera of the Middle East.' A golf course and hotels probably. The £2 million people can just go wherever. Wtf! AIBU to think America is imploding in on itself?

I can't help thinking that the statue (with its extremely elongated legs) was triggered by (the not especially tall) Emmanuel Macron correcting him. He felt slighted and his knee jerk response was to place himself above Mr Macron by overemphasizing his height.

Quite a few countries do this, mostly to attract Chinese investment. It's pretty disgusting.

Thank you @nearlylovemyusername . It’s interesting to see which countries voted with Russia or the US. I’m guessing that some are ideologically aligned (eg. Russia and Belarus), some were leaned on and others were bought.

The other way - Yellow abstained, Red - No.
Even China abstained.

It says a lot that US now vote the same and Russia and North Korea.

Trump has announced (again) tariffs against Canada starting next week. The Labour Congress have released this statement . I hope the US does get cut off!

The original resolution was from the US, but Europe forced some amendments, which basically condemned Russia's invasion and asked for the addition of the text you quoted, so US had to abstain.

Look at the graphic, the US didn't abstain, it joined Mali, Eritrea, Russia and North Korea in voting against.

UNGA resolution on an early & just peace in Ukraine. Confirming the importance to respect all countries' territorial integrity & sovereignty, in line with the UN Charter.

The original resolution was from the US, but Europe forced some amendments, which basically condemned Russia's invasion and asked for the addition of the text you quoted, so US had to abstain.

Because a substantial part of the population still think that society peaked back in the 1950s when black people went to the back of the bus and women did as their husbands told them.

The hope that I hold on to is that ultimately they will overplay their hands and/or back themselves into a corner that they can't get out of.
Trump will only be happy if he feels he is the best/cleverest/richest etc. Anyone with any ambition or ability will be a threat to him and he will have to get rid of them so he will only ever end up surrounded by incompetents 🤷🏻‍♀️

I confident that nature will take its course. When you put that many rats in a sack they eventually turn on eachother.

I don't really care what colour they are, Trump has sacked the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff CQ Brown with immediate effect. There is no body in charge of the US military forces this weekend.
