Thankfully Aziza has been found. (Added by MNHQ at request of the OP)… to ask any London-based Mumsnetters to help find my missing cousin?

My cousin Aziza went missing during a theatre trip in London with family yesterday. She has learning difficulties and I suspect just decided during the intermission that she wanted to leave and walked out without speaking to anyone.

She has no coat, phone, or money and it has now been more than 24 hours in freezing temperatures.

We are working closely with the police but would welcome any help in spreading the words in case someone remembers seeing her.

Here is the Met Police tweet if anyone is on Twitter/X and is happy to share for reach: x.com/metpoliceuk/status/1886133033230606604

With her learning difficulties, would she be able to find her way around - I'm asking would she aim for anywhere or just wander?
Does she live in London?

I'm east London and have shared the news story and will keep a look out. Hope you are reunited asap!

Stopsnowing · 02/02/2025 23:24

So sorry OP, what a terrible worry. I've shared.

Choux · 02/02/2025 23:13

Bumping to get this trending.

How worrying for you all and I saw that today is her birthday. Hope you wake up to good news tomorrow.

I hope your cousin is found safe very soon. There's nothing I can see on the BBC website - on the main site or on London news. How can we get this story to be more prominent? There are only a couple of messages I saw on Twitter.

When you retweet, add @ BBCLondonNews, itvlondon and LondonLive

Netmumnet · 02/02/2025 23:12

Is there an Instagram post that I could share to my stories?

bruffin · 02/02/2025 23:08

And yes, thank you, we have a spreadsheet of hospitals that we worked our way through today - nothing yet

Have you contacted London mental health hospitals too? They are separate to the acute physical health hospitals.

I work in mental health in N London and will keep an eye out on our systems.

Praying that your lovely cousin is found x

Onemorepenny · 02/02/2025 22:53

Bumping to keep this post going. That entire area is a warren of small yards, markets and random gardens.

Is there anything in particular she might want to eat like nandos? Would she know to try a supermarket for food?

There's quite a few museums in the area, might be worth reaching out to them also any university buildings nearby. Really hope she's taken shelter somehow and not been out in this.

Crankyaboutfood · 02/02/2025 22:53

hoping for a positive update. you just all be out of your minds.

latelydaydreams · 02/02/2025 22:50
