Winning the Lottery

I'm winning the double rollover tonight - got my ticket and feeling spectacularly lucky. Previous tickets I've hoped to win haven't come through, so I'm going into tonight with confidence and seeing if that makes a difference.

Planned out my winnings which covers the 5 mil ~ dream house purchase, enough to invest and draw on for a decent style of living for the rest of my life, helping family/friends clear their mortgages/debt. Buying a Birkin 😎

AIBU to ask what I'd be sending you with some of the rest? I have about £400,000 to play with, though want to spread it around a bit. Only overly indulgent gifts you'd never buy yourself but secretly really, really want are allowed.

I would buy a shit tonne of lego for the lego room I'd be installing in my new mansion.

Oh - and Jo Malone candles - the big three wick ones.

Generally I'd love to just be able to buy the ideal thing I want or need and not spend ages searching around for the best deal or the cheapest price.

I do the John Lewis "win my wishlist" competition every month and my wishlist is full of all the frivolous things I'd love to buy if I just had the spare cash to throw at it.

I can't really express it well but it's such a tonic seeing everyone sharing their indulgences and the warm and generous idea of it actually touches me more than any material thing.

I'd want to make people happy if I had money too.

No worries! I'm having a lot of fun googling everyone's wishes and figuring out where to buy my genie suit. Assuming you're all pretty spread out I'll need to do a UK tour to drop everything off, which will be fine as it'll be in my sparkly new car 😂

I'll have a Mr Frosty, a kids from Fame T Shirt (with the gold writing) and one of those little toy vending machines that served up tiny bars of Dairy Milk.

Asked bloody Santa for these for many years, left the Argos book circled and everything but he insisted on bringing me scratchy Aran Jumpers, a Kilt and a dress coat. Nothing wrong with them but to be clear, we are not and never were, Scottish. My Mother did however have delusions of Grandeur and visions of us dressed as some sort of minor royal children for Christmas Day mass. Sigh.

I have wanted a Mulberry bag for a very, very long time.
I know which one , it is the Mulberry Bayswater in tan leather.

@viques hahahah as a teen I watched those home renovation videos and couldn't understand why people said it was stressful! As an adult I laugh at my own foolishness and can't wait to outsource any DIY whilst on my monthly trips to Paris 💅

though now that I think about it, those little French beers from Lidl would do really do the trick!

Sheesh! Yes of course to both. The offer was supposedly unconditional but I won't turn down some homegrown veg 😋 (that is, until my veggie planters tended by my new gardener in my new house are ready for harvesting!)

I want a luxury garden building containing a sauna, separate shower area, separate toilet, changing room with bench seats, a beer fridge and the building will need some decking at the front with a couple of chairs to sip a beer after sauna in summer months.

I would like my house redecorated from top to bottom by people who know what they are doing. As part of the package I will need to be accommodated in a lovely hotel for a week or two while they get on with it so I don’t need to move furniture or live with any inconvenience. I would also like two new squishy sofas please. While they are at it could they bring their friends in to do all the gardening jobs I know need doing and tidy up after themselves. Then as a final flourish I need the front of my house repainting.
