Has anyone heard this song
I heard it other other day and was so so shocked by the lyrics I nearly had a heart attack 😂
Why do mainstream artists bring out utter filth like this. I really don’t like my kids (teenage) hearing this garbage….ive listened to some garbage in my time but it’s another level and is shocking to me coming from such a popular artist.
I know everyone will be like well they will hear it on YouTube/tiktok…..but I’d really like it not to be coming up on Spotify which they listen to alot 🫣

I was also puzzled. I mean I am well endowed but wtf?

You see, in every room there will be 3 other people asking the same mental question but too shy to ask!

Can I block this and any other explicit songs from Alexa? I really don't want DS hearing this at bedtime. Someone tell me how.

Can you imagine the questions he'll ask you. Some songs are not meant for children.

whoputallofthatthere · 27/01/2025 18:07

Even the title is repulsive. This is just about being "shocking" for the sake of it and seeing what he can get away with.

And I thought "Guess" by Charli doo-da featuring Billie Eilish was a bit near the mark, that's clean compared to this

At least that one was very plausibly a song about two people who actually want to fuck each other. The mars one is just disgusting - there's nothing sexy about it, it just reads like a list of purposefully disgustingly worded transgressive sex acts. It's not about female pleasure, who talks in a degrading way like that about their own bodies? It sounds like the sort of thing that men would write, if they had female bodies.

JackJarvisEsq · 27/01/2025 18:07

Is he back on the marching powder?

Yes just put the explicit filter on, there’s instructions on amazon or you can google there’s lots of step by step, via the app or just asking it.

MoominMai · 27/01/2025 18:06

lol it’s interesting the different responses according to whichever platform you’re on. It’s pushing almost 10m views in just 3 days on YouTube where it would have been viewed by a healthy age range mix I’d imagine and the overwhelming response is positive and mentions of his genius. I just can’t get my head round though how supposedly main stream pop is getting increasingly explicit. It’s not so bad if an artist is known to have a largely older audience but Bruno especially with his recent Rose and Lady G Collabs (both of whom interestingly also make an appearance on this song) will have a hefty number of school age fans imagine 😬

I will not listen to it on purpose but it sounds to me like he wants to be cancelled in the same way that Robin Thicke was (and to a lesser degree Pharrell Williams) with their awful song from a few years back.

It was how the video was staged the models were walking around with their boobs out of doors. That's why they criticised him. I think he also cheated on his wife and their was inappropriate behaviour happening on set.

I doubt Bruno Mars will be cancelled for singing about sex. There is nothing offensive about the video.

Chuchoter · 27/01/2025 18:04

Years ago I had a row with an idiot mother who allowed her 5 year old child to learn the words of his son 'Lazy'.

I found it repulsive to watch a small child gyrating in the style of an adult dancing and singing, 'Meet a really nice girl, have some really nice sex'

In the absence of any talent they have to resort to making sexually explicit songs .

ThisFluentBiscuit · 27/01/2025 18:04

Just read the lyrics. Completely foul. What a disappointment from someone who has produced some gorgeous songs in the past.

There's nothing clever about being disgusting. Actually, I became bored and my eyes had glazed over by the third verse.

Titties on your forehead, titties on your chin

Have I been doing sex wrong? What is the purpose of forehead titties?

100% not prudish and I never want to hear that song again

@septumring99 , (at 17.35.) Re your comment 'certain artists make songs for adults, so what do you expect... ' This is not just for adults, it's fucking foul and nasty. Sabrina Carpenter says 'please don't embarrass me mother fucker' on Please Please Please, and Olivia Rodriguez says 'I still fucking love you baby' in Driver's Licence, which is clearly not aimed at children... But they're not saying 'shove your c0ck up my ar$e,' 'chew my clit,' and 'get me juicy and wet as you fuck me from behind' are they?

This is out and out attention-seeking, and pathetic, with a 'let's see how filthy we can be to get attention' vibe - like that hideous WAP song. Who the fuck wants to hear about wet juicy fannies and men sticking their face in them when they're listening to music? For fuck's sake. 😂 Anyone who thinks this is just adult music needs to give their head a wobble. It's hideous! 😖

Also Bruno Mars has never done music just for adults! His music has always been mainstream and for all ages.

What the fuck is he playing at?

Edited

This entirely. It's forcing porn upon unsuspecting people. If I want porn I'll go looking for it. I don't want to just be playing a playlist in the car with my mam and suddenly be listening to someone's sexual fantasy. I felt the same about that cardi b or whatever she's called. They're getting kicks out of making people feel uncomfortable and when those kicks are sexual gratification it crosses lines.

VotingForYourself · 27/01/2025 18:00

*Bruno's attempt at making a “strip club anthem,( aparantly

EarthSight · 27/01/2025 18:00

I think you all need to take a trip to 1984 and listen to 'Animal' by W.A.S.P (a.k.a I Fuck like a Beast). Caused a lot of controversy back in the day.

Probablywould · 27/01/2025 18:00

Also Bruno Mars has never done music just for adults! I mean he has, gorilla, money make her smile and lots of others that are basically straight up about sex or reference it.

Jellycats4life · 27/01/2025 16:14

I was shocked by a Sabrina Carpenter song recently. Her fans are mostly young teens. Why does everything have to be so pornbrained these days?

Whilst I do think Sabrina Carpenter is just a performative sex object (there is no ‘owning’ herself in her act), many songs have been mainstream yet very highly sexualised over the years. Songs from my youth that I didn’t realise were straight up filth at the time:

Salt N Pepa - Shoop

Mariah Carey and Latto - Big Energy

Missy Elliot - Work It

Probably a million more that I was singing along to whilst my mother was trying not to have a panic…

I won’t Google this song though. What songs these days like SC or Bruno Mars lack is any subtly what so ever. The more the shock factor the more boring it becomes.

SwerveCity · 27/01/2025 17:59

Gross

He usually is, but this is the trend at the moment and he’s hopping on it! I like it.

It's going to be a hit this summer I can see babies being made on the back of this song.

TheBoots · 27/01/2025 17:45

Take it none of you remember WAP by Cardi B, or My Neck, My Back by Khia (from 2002!!) then...

I remember being in a shit club in Kos and hearing that Khia song. 22yo me felt the same way about it as I do about WAP and this BM pish.

They are all designed to outrage (so effective in that respect) but utterly vulgar, unnecessary, lacking in any class and devoid of any talent.

IsEveryUserNameBloodyTaken · 27/01/2025 17:58

Fucking hell.
Is he having some kind of breakdown or something.

DevilledEgg · 27/01/2025 17:56

Eww. I could kinda understand if he'd released that when he was 18 or whatever but he's pushing middle aged now. Grim. Smacks of the old perv who sits at the bar and sends underage girls drinks

Yeah this. ^ And I seriously judge anyone who thinks this song is actually OK, and 'there's nothing to see here.'

The song is shit imo but this thread is hilarious. I mean it’s just a song, you don’t have to listen to it! I’m sure most of the people on this thread are not the target audience
