Has anyone heard this song
I heard it other other day and was so so shocked by the lyrics I nearly had a heart attack 😂
Why do mainstream artists bring out utter filth like this. I really don’t like my kids (teenage) hearing this garbage….ive listened to some garbage in my time but it’s another level and is shocking to me coming from such a popular artist.
I know everyone will be like well they will hear it on YouTube/tiktok…..but I’d really like it not to be coming up on Spotify which they listen to alot 🫣

Apparently it's short for apartment

He revealed in an interview that it's a reference to the classic old country and western song by Lurleen Colander: 'She Criticised My Apartment So I Knocked Her Flat'.

Same. I've spent a long time wondering what APT might mean

I heard this on R1 over the weekend. There was a lot of echo to cover the missed words!

For some mad reason, that reminded me of the (albeit self-censoring) Goodies' song 'Father Christmas Do Not Touch Me'!

All his other songs were just so wholesome 🤷🏻‍♀️

I know he has had some 'edgier' lyrics; but this is a bit like the equivalent of hearing that Daniel O'Donnell and Dana have released a new, raunchier, version of Je T'aime... Moi Non Plus!

Wow, what's he playing at🙁

Whotenanny · 02/02/2025 20:52

What does his family make of that song? Holy moly.

"Hey ma, do you want to listen to my newest track?"
"Bruno, I brought you up to be better than this."

mollyfolk · 02/02/2025 20:51

It’s disgusting. It really is. I can’t listen to it.

YorhshireTeaIsBest · 02/02/2025 20:43

I'm so disappointed in Bruno.

I suggest she gets to the doctor if she has that much discharge! 😳

I really don't know if such things appeal to any women, but to me it reads like porn intended to appeal to male obsessions.

SapphireSeptember · 28/01/2025 23:05

There's ways to write lyrics about sex without being so grim. 'Lose Control' by Evanescence being one. I also read a lot of erotica and erotic fanfiction and none of what I read is that depressing either!

glassglob · 28/01/2025 21:42

I also just watched the Beyonce Texas Hold'em Video and Visualiser, the visualiser is just quasi pornographic and she is also simulating a kind of lapdance in the video. What's next, is she just going to straight up perform a sex act on herself in some coming video. Its a good song she doesn't need the porn to sell it.

But there’s quite the difference to songs talking about being horny and liking big butts to this one which explicitly suggests slobbing on her clit, leaving cum on his face, and squirting on his bed.

I’m no prude and I’m not offended but I do wonder whether there’s any line at all? Or are we just saying that any kind of obscene lyrics are fine, no matter what the subject is or how graphic, because it’s an “adult song”?

Me and DP were debating this earlier. Am I unreasonable for suggesting censorship just because I wouldn’t want to stand and sing about my pussy squirting on your face and dripping? Or are we essentially saying that pornographic lyrics are normal and just the same as any other song that references sex in any way with absolutely no red line?

I don’t think it’s misogyny either because it’s not the reference to enjoying sex that I find objectionable. If a bloke was singing about cumming on a woman’s face to give her a milk moustache, I’d find that a bit too much too. Perhaps it’s the fact that the entire song is totally explicit, every line, rather than just the occasional reference slipped in that’s less noticeable.

These songs which are uber-explicit just feel a bit pathetic, as if someone is just trying to shock. It’s a try-hard. It makes me eye-roll rather than shocks. There’s not even any real meaning or message most of the time either. You can describe sex. Well done you. Slow clap.

'You can describe sex.'

Perfect response.

Yes. Slow clap indeed.

Whose a clever boy then?

It's going to be a hit this summer I can see babies being made on the back of this song.

No babies will be made the way he suggests doing it.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 28/01/2025 15:11

I don't think there's any youth slang at play here. It just means fat as in plump / fleshy.

It's all so depressing and unoriginal. WAP 2.0

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 28/01/2025 14:39

What does the 'fat' bit of the title refer to? I'm old and not up to date on youth slang.

onwardsup4 · 28/01/2025 13:41

@Fandangles 😂🤣 at nursery rhyme voice that made me laugh. Reading it all in nursery rhyme voice now. Not heard it yet but how pathetic

For a moment I was worried APT was ruder than I realised.

Then I spotted the title of his new track......

Same. I've spent a long time wondering what APT might mean

This. Didn‘t he try to sue Miley Cirrus claiming her song „Flowers“ contained bits that sounded identical to one of his songs?

Shes was being sued for it but not by Bruno mars

SillySeal · 28/01/2025 12:34

Well i hadn't heard it, thought it can't be that bad...oh was I wrong! Absolutely vile! I have 2 teens at home and I would be disgusted if they listened to that.

Redglitter · 28/01/2025 12:29

Love the fact that when you Google it the first thing coming up after clips and videos is..

Bruno mars new song 🤮 can I block from Spotify??
Comefromaway · 28/01/2025 12:27

To be fair the chorus of Flowers is pretty identical.
