Just that! I had such a great run and now I seem to have hit a wall. Do you use the same one every time? Do you ever use pen and paper alongside? It's cheeky I know I'm being unreasonable I'm also just curious!

Totally random but always a word with 2 vowels

I've got it in one twice now so I'm doing something right 😂

Zleep · 26/01/2025 15:40

Irate every time.

BlanketLanyard · 26/01/2025 15:39

Often one of these:
Trash
Crash
Thorn
Scorn

I find constantants more important/helpful to know than vowels

CurlewKate · 26/01/2025 15:38

Canoe.

dizzydizzydizzy · 26/01/2025 15:37

Smart

IMHO it's best to have a consonant-heavy word because it is the consonants that give you the shape of the word. The bot recommends 'crane' as the best starter word but I can't bring myself to change my word now.

Sidebeforeself · 26/01/2025 15:37

I got it in one once with CANDY..Have a new word but Im not telling! Has anyone tried Hardle? I love it!

Raquelos · 26/01/2025 15:35

REACH followed by MOIST if that gets no letters.

mashingwachine · 26/01/2025 15:34

ItGhoul · 26/01/2025 15:14

PENIS

Which was especially useful a while back when the answer was SPINE.

I also sometimes use penis.

I dint have much of a strategy, I tend to go with words that relate to what I have been doing/thinking/watching, hence penis Smile

rumblegrumble · 26/01/2025 15:31

spout, faery, winch

cloudjumper · 26/01/2025 15:31

YEAST

Pretty much all the time. I sometimes use AUDIO, but always end up going back to yeast

UninterestingFirstPost · 26/01/2025 15:29

ROATE, for the frequency of each letter. PLINK if none of those.

LostTheMarble · 26/01/2025 15:26

Mine is CHAIR, it was CHAIN but that was my lucky ‘in one’ about a year ago I think? H can throw you if you get it later on in guesses so like getting it out of the way quickly. My second go is Stung.

madamepresident · 26/01/2025 15:26

Steal

randomchap · 26/01/2025 15:22

Irate, then sound

Covers all the vowels and very common consonants

Createausername1970 · 26/01/2025 15:17

7ft1garysson · 26/01/2025 15:13

What is your reserve word can I ask?

Vinyl

SurferRona · 26/01/2025 15:17

Raise, then Mouth- or month if I get two vowels in raise. Always.

NeverTalksToStrangers2 · 26/01/2025 15:16

The bot says the best word to use is Crane, surprisingly. I vary between it and alone. Sometimes audio.

MagicalMystical · 26/01/2025 15:15

MyDadLovedBlondieToo · 26/01/2025 14:03

I change it every day to something relevant. It’s the first part of the challenge 😁 Today it was RAINS…

This is the same game I like to play. Today was duvet. 😆

Mummyratbag · 26/01/2025 15:15

Steam then if that comes back blank I use cloud. Both words have come up, but I still use them (in that order) I have no idea why..

ItGhoul · 26/01/2025 15:14

PENIS

Which was especially useful a while back when the answer was SPINE.

sanityisamyth · 26/01/2025 15:14

Horse.

Got 2 vowel, R and S which are common letters and potentially the SH digraph.

7ft1garysson · 26/01/2025 15:13

Createausername1970 · 26/01/2025 15:05

I use the same two to start which give me the 4 main vowels, plus the most used letters.

If that isn't enough to get me going, then the third word uses the U and 4 more unused letters.

Usually by that point I have enough to go on, but if not I have a reserve word that uses a few of the less popular letters and has proved useful in the past.

What is your reserve word can I ask?

PeterPipper · 26/01/2025 15:13

Audio then if no letters correct, rents.

TabloidFootprints · 26/01/2025 15:12

ALIEN followed by SHOUT if no matching letters.
DS uses QUEUE as he says it is too easy and deliberately tries to make it harder.
I use PUPPY for Dont Wordle but I’m not very good at it so I wonder if a different word would be better.

WeWillGetThereInTheEnd · 26/01/2025 15:12

We use

Quest

It covers some common letters, and gets qu less common out of the way!
