I'll start with noting DH is autistic and sometimes really struggles with making rational decisions. Anyway he recently sustained an injury while playing sport, after chatting to the GP it was advised he get physio, he could get it from the NHS but there is a waiting list so we decided to look privately. He did all his own research and decided to book an initial consultation with a physio who specialises in sports injuries, at a very expensive central London clinic. I went along with him to the consultation and she was lovely, she advised at the end she would be happy to work with him but for what he needs, he could get the same level of care from someone else for considerably cheaper. She noted that her rate is set in line with her skills as a specialist for elite athletes and he wouldn't make any use of most of her skills.
DH is insistent he still wants to pick her, he keeps reciting off all her qualifications and experience, but doesn't seem to be getting that he has a fairly minor injury and that her skills and expertise are really more meant for elite athletes.
AIBU to be annoyed he wants to pay more than he has to, just because she is highly qualified with lots of specialist experience when he doesn't actually need that?
