Has anyone seen the video footage that totally proves Blake Lively was lying about her accusations of Justin Baldoni. Total Amber Heard vibes from this and it's scary to think how many cases that can't be proved have destroyed men's lives.

Dearie me.

You've read an article on the Daily Mail and are quoting it as fact.

I believe her.

Nutriiiit · 23/01/2025 07:44

FoxDox · 22/01/2025 20:52

Yeah, because Justin is paying the same PR company that Jonny Depp used to run a smear campaign against Amber Heard. That is where you recognising the “vibe” from, it’s the same playbook.

Yep this.

Can we all agree to stop falling for it and hating women now?

Matronic6 · 22/01/2025 22:45

I don't think the video footage proves either of their stories. It disproves that he said 'you smell so good.' But nothing else.

I think there will be a lot of different interpretations of events. What I do find interesting is that the entire cast seems to be supporting BL.

The fact that most of the cast is supporting BL is very telling, to me. They were there. They watched it all unfold and saw the nitty-gritty of it all. There is the "he said-she said" and then there are the people who watched it on a daily basis. I am inclined to listen to them, believe them and wonder why, if it is "so bad" for BL, why they are standing with her.

A PP mentioned that the whole Internet is on JB's side. That is not true on the sites I have visited.

Volpini · 23/01/2025 07:34

Over the last few years, whenever I have seen a sudden public pile on of public figures, it’s always made me question “hmmm-who’s decided we all have to hate this person, now, then?”

I know less than nothing about this case (thought the book was lame, wasn’t ever going to see the film for that reason) but at the time all those headlines started to pop up about BL, I remember thinking “oh, here’s the next woman someone has decided to pull down. She’s quite vanilla. Why is everyone picking on her, suddenly?” The nastiness didn’t really seem to fit the crime of wearing florals (character was a florist, no?) I can’t say I lost sleep about it, but I noticed. And unless they’re left wing or have gone up against the press, the press’ latest kill is always a female isn’t it?
so, on that basis alone, I believe her. Because all the tabloids didn’t overnight decide independently to go for her - it was a hit. Why?

I did see a headline somewhere a few days ago that was playing the “JB as DV champion - BL has gone and ruined it” card which just made me snort for that poor man doing his single handed best for the women’s issues only for the lead woman to mess it all up. Right.
Am ambivalent about BL/ RR brand. They could be amazing. Could be monsters. Doesn’t make this not have happened.

JB - never heard of him til now, but on the balance of probabilities/ my own life experience/ a misogynist press at war with her and paid trolls crawling all over the internet to slam her rather than just leave it to a court of law… And finally. On a packed set - why would she make it all up? I believe her.

As for JD. I loved him. I disliked AH intensely. But there was a mountain of evidence that she was abused. Just because previous partners weren’t abused, doesn’t mean AH wasn’t. I believed her. Just because she’s an unsympathetic, very flawed witness doesn’t make her not a victim.

Why would an aware, DV Champion hire a PR firm who ran a huge campaign for a DV abuser?????
nope.

yet again, this has become a feeding frenzy with two teams set against each other. What nobody is really talking about - especially at this time - is this terrifying press/ internet machine that can just turn on a person. It starts with headlines and then - more terrifyingly - the paid posters and configured AI bots online that are fed key words and phrases to change opinion online. You see it all the time - the same key phrases over and over again. And before you know it, that’s the phrase and then the story that sticks. Frankly, you don’t even know any more if posters’ opinions are real or paid posters or actual AI bots. I find the implications of that is the real story here (and the power it gives people with an agenda/ story to push.)

The thing about her dragons (Ryan Reynolds and Taylor Swift?) shows the type of person she is, hiding behind her far more famous family and friends.

The type of person who knows she would have had to tolerate being licked and pawed by an "ally to women" if she were not in the lucky position of having support from wealthy and powerful people, you mean?

Except that was not the context of that quote, it was ‘you should agree with me because I have powerful friends’ - not a red flag about someone at all eh?

Anyway like I say he is a sleazeball, I don’t disbelieve BL, I just think she is a dick and that made it easy to discredit her.

Cindybeale · 23/01/2025 06:28

The whole
reaction to Blake and amber is why women cannot come
forward because society and legal teams will
pull them and everything they have done apart. Other women will hate them men will hate them. It grows and grows on social media too now it makes me to so angry

Cindybeale · 23/01/2025 06:26

yes it does give amber heard vibes to me too - attractive unlikeable
woman are discredited and gaslit into being told they were never abused. Because we feel
that victims should all act like victims
amber heard was abused there is evidence of that - Jonny is a likeable guy and she is not. That was the real issue

I think the audio shows that Blake was very uncomfortable in that situation - the video only covers that time frame

uhhuhuhhuhuhuh · 23/01/2025 00:33

Just watched that video and you'd have to be dead to not notice the difference between them in their manner - she is pulling back and away and vocally communicating her lack of agreement with him. He belittles her twice about how she is with her husband. He is improvising moves and you can see she is actively uncomfortable and in no way mirroring him. His intimate touching her would be very uncomfortable for someone who hasn't been told or agreed any of that prior to the set up and who is having a mid shoot disagreement on kissing.

It's vile, he's vile. He should have been INFINITELY MORE careful and boundaried as director and actor. Not used it as an excuse to just do what he liked. this is a classic example of uneven power balance in production and even after she said nothing but he blew it up and now she feels like she has to use her voice. I completely get it. The problem is no one is going to come out of it well realistically the way things are going and it's going to be mucky and horrible.

She'd have been better off to report any crime and then stay silent.

uhhuhuhhuhuhuh · 23/01/2025 00:23

In the Uk not with...

uhhuhuhhuhuhuh · 23/01/2025 00:23

The whole thing is cringeworthy. The appetite for litigation, the press strategies, the fact it's being played out in a civil court...

If a crime had been committed it should have been reported and left there for the authorities to investigate and prosecute - not this utter tit for tat media BS, which is now likely to be commonplace with the UK filling up with wealthy citizens of the US.

The whole thing is pathetic. If you get in the ring with someone's ego then it's going to get ugly.

Is that you, Baldoni?

TrixieFatell · 22/01/2025 23:49

I'm also getting Amber Heard vibes but not in the same way as you.

You're being played OP.

Pretty sure it’s the OP trying to play us. More of JB’s smear campaign and it’s far from subtle.

I believe Blake.

lavendarwillow · 22/01/2025 23:46

She does look uncomfortable, that's obvious to me. Social media is dangerous, out of nowhere, people are really hating her. She was quite popular before. Other celebrities have been far bitchier and said worse things, but there's no pitch forkers hounding them down.

SussexLass87 · 22/01/2025 23:37

You're being played OP.

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 22/01/2025 23:35

I watched the footage and I totally believe her.
She's always trying to back away, she actively wants to avoid kissing him. I can just sense the disgust she has for him.

I feel like I'm in the twilight zone that other people can't see it!! It's so obvious to me

Rainbowqueeen · 22/01/2025 23:32

Her complaint details several events of harassment which took place over a long period on several different days.

How can one video of one day possibly prove that all those separate incidents did not take place?? Really struggling to understand.

Anyone who leaps to the conclusion that this means BL is lying based on this one video is looking at the whole incident from a "vibes" perspective and not at all at the evidence (obviously as this has not been to court yet, we cannot know what the facts actually are and its not for us to determine that anyway).

The arguments against BL on this thread remind me of comments about rape victims - what was she wearing, she was smiling and chatting with him earlier, how could it then be rape. It's really disheartening.

Iamnotalemming · 22/01/2025 23:31

You mean the Amber Heard who was found in an English court to have been the victim of domestic abuse by Depp? That Amber Heard? As a PP said, I recommend you listen to the podcast Who Trolled Amber Heard.

It was very cringey to watch. For me, it left the impression he was loving it and wanting more entitled schmoozing, and she was feeling about as turned on as a rotten sheep carcass, but had to be “polite” to avoid making a fuss. I think that’s a far more obvious explanation for her random diversionary comments (to avoid kissing) than a lack of professionalism. Who knows what was really going on. I should say I am male and have no idea who either of these people are until I read about it in the news. I was disturbed to read about the underhand PR campaign trying to undermine her general reputation, and how many journalists had been taken in by it and later backtracked once they realised they were being played. The video release will I expect backfire on him, just like the Spanish football guy who gave an unwanted kiss to that player in the victorious women’s team. I do wonder about the provenance of this thread, as it looks like a thinly veiled PR ploy or a desperate fan. The attack on her professionalism speaks for itself. No doubt the answer would have been the same if she’d thrown a glass of water over him.

As for the slur on Amber Heard, I also have no idea who she is other than from my interest in following the English court proceedings, which she won, regardless of the outcome in the US proceedings. Unpleasant.

Exactly. Despite the expensive PR/legal team takedown of Heard in the US, in the U.K. Jonny Depp can legally be described as a wife beater.

BeaAndBen · 22/01/2025 23:17

Do you hate all women, @laurwalsh , or just those with orchestrated smear campaigns targeting them?

Ghosttofu99 · 22/01/2025 23:16

Anothermathstutor · 22/01/2025 22:32

The people not seeing what it disproves…are you well?

she literally references this scene and lies about what happens. The footage shows JB’s version is accurate and hers is fabricated. The harassment is supposed to take place in this video.

Harassment is not one event, it is a pattern of behaviour. This one video of everything that happened in front of the camera in one scene only can’t prove or disprove anything. It will be based on his behaviour on and off camera throughout the whole time they worked together. By the way, unless the touching kissing was in the script or agreed upon before they started filming it isn’t acceptable. It being a ‘romantic’ scene doesn’t give an escape clause that anything goes.

Actress is just another job title it doesn’t mean women have given up any rights to body autonomy.

Lots of distressing things have been done to actresses on camera in the past without warning or consent. (Look up Last Tango in Paris) I for one thing it is good that times have changed and women like Blake should be empowered to speak out about unacceptable workplace behaviour.

Do you not hear her say about 3 plus times 'lets just talk, it's good to not give them the kiss straight away' and he says yeah okay then repeatedly goes in for kisses and neck kissing over and over. The script before the video starts says nothing about kissing or carressing, just that 'they are dancing and in their own world'. He keeps trying to lead it into neck kisses and more, without anyone directing this. İn the beginning you see her head pull back and she keeps saying 'they should just talk' because he's clearly going off script.

JaneBoleynViscountessRochford · 22/01/2025 23:05

This whole case just seems like two absolute horrors of people coming into each others orbit and each thinking that they can destroy the other.

The thing with BL is that if she was a nice, decent person and not in fact a complete dick in interviews (her answer about what she would say to someone who disclosed abuse to her for example) there wouldn’t have been as much ammunition to use against her. The thing about her dragons (Ryan Reynolds and Taylor Swift?) shows the type of person she is, hiding behind her far more famous family and friends.

JB seems like a total sleaze ball and control freak.

Neither will come out of this looking good.
