Blake lively

Has anyone seen the video footage that totally proves Blake Lively was lying about her accusations of Justin Baldoni. Total Amber Heard vibes from this and it's scary to think how many cases that can't be proved have destroyed men's lives.

From what I’ve seen BL is no shrinking violet when it comes to confronting others, couldn’t she just say ‘don’t do that’. She doesn’t go along with things that make her uncomfortable.

She’s a bad actress, bad choice for the role and probably struggled to stay in character. He’s sleazy - but he’s meant to be. RR is controlling. Was there an intimacy coordinator? Some reports say there was. Going into a film like this WOULD be uncomfortable to shoot. A lot of actors talk about being uncomfortable and pushed on set etc. Some actors stay in character the entire time.

Just my take, nobody knows for sure. The drama must have boosted ratings though.

FFS, did you really just say “couldn’t she just say, don’t do that’

WTF ???

Mollysay · 24/01/2025 08:00

I also don't really put much weight on actions of the cast as there's such a power imbalance. Things like nice pool are beyond weird as well.

There aren’t plenty of examples though - they managed to drag up one interview from years ago and ran with that.

Other than that the accusations were general and vague - “hard to work with” - yes, because she didn’t just accept the way he treated her.

The entire cast of the film in question backed her over him. They don’t seem to have found her “spiteful”.

Edited

But there are plenty of examples out there- you might support her but are we denying reality now or claiming someone has timetravelled to edit her openly mocking a cast member for being born in prison amongst other things?

Mollysay · 24/01/2025 07:45

He seems awful as well, but PR can only spin what already exists. She's been awful since GG, plenty of examples of her being beyond spiteful to her cast members at press events, yuck.

I don’t see it as damning for her. She’s asking him to talk not kiss, she pulls back and even covers her face with her hands. She looks uncomfortable 🤷‍♀️

No we won’t go away. MN doesn’t work like that. You can’t have a tantrum because nobody agrees with your idiotic stance

Can I ask you and anyone else defending Baldoni - have you at any point ever had any introspection since finding out he paid a fortune for a PR company to wage a smear campaign? Have you ever thought “Hmm maybe I’m wrong and just fell for what I was being fed?”. Or is it just a coincidence that you thought this off your own volition?

I dont support him, I hope if its tested in court there's a fair trial and if he has done anything wrong he's brought to justice for it. I also am not a fan of BL (which doesn't affect my view that i hope she gets justice if it's due). She's been long reported since GG to be nasty and hard to work with. A smear campaign works better if the person actually has said awful things or treated people like crap.

It’s interesting to see how many posters on this tread have simply accepted Blake Lively’s allegations of sexual harassment. I must admit that I was absolutely outraged when I heard Blake Lively’s description of how she was treated by Justin Baldoni but now the Pleadings are available Justin’s responses give a very different picture. He didn’t fat shame her but had genuine concerns about his back injury, he didn’t employ some random friend to play the Obstetrician but a well-respected actor who has won awards, she wasn’t almost naked during the birth scene, she invited the two men into her trailer while she was breast feeding, she wasn’t shown pornography, she was on holiday on two of the dates she mentions and so on. Just how the New York Times thought it could get away with removing whole sections of email and iMessage threads I simply do not understand and, of course, when the missing parts are replaced, the messages give a very different picture. The bottom line is that it is no longer a “She said, he said” scenario because we can read the messages and watch the time stamped video for ourselves. It seems that Blake Lively’s desire to take over the production and to claim an executive producer’s credit that she hadn’t earned are at the bottom of this.

Both Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have gone very quiet save that her lawyers have asked for a gag order which is unlikely to be granted and in any event, there is now so much information / evidence out there that that horse has well and truly bolted.

The worse thing is that there are women in Hollywood who are genuinely being sexually harassed and each time a woman lies about the way she has been treated it makes it that much harder for a woman who has been sexually harassed to be believed.

@GloriousGoosebumps have you seen the list of demands that JB voluntarily signed up to during filming?

If yes, do you believe he did all the things he agreed that he would stop doing? If yes, do you agree that those things constitute sexual harrassment? If not, why not?

If you think he didn’t do them, why do you think he signed up to it?

And even if he was completely innocent, it is clear that she made some allegations against him at the time, and that he subsequently paid a PR company to spread negative stories about her. Why would an innocent person do that?

ETA: of course he has now denied everything - while you seem very critical of BL you seem to have accepted his account wholesale. Why?

Jb should just drop it, that video just proves he was trying to land one in her constantly. played with her lip when her eyes were closed (may have felt like biting) kissed her neck really awkwardly. While she is twisting away, fighting to stay in character due to his actions and looking very uncomfortable. So he we pushing for unscripted intimacy while no intimacy coordinator was in set, because there was not meant to be any intimacy .. bingo. Compare that scene to the filmed one i dare you. With 4 kids she very much has better things to do than make stuff up.
trying to have an affair don't make me laugh.

Nice try.

Exactly. She's famous and he's not. She's the obe with something to lose.

I am bemused by all of this. If you actually read the filings you can see that many of BL’s allegations are wholly refuted by the written (contemporaneous) evidence which takes the form of texts and emails. Maybe Baldoni was a bit of a sleaze (not uncommon in Hollywood or anywhere else, quite frankly). But based on the documents BL appears to have a rather tenuous relationship with the truth.

Re the video, they look uncomfortable because they are trying to talk while shooting a dance scene - he is in character, hence why he looks sleazy (that it literally the point of that character). The conversation doesn’t seem as if lively was uncomfortable - I actually agree with her that it’s sexier to show the moment before a kiss. So I don’t think that’s her trying to get out of kissing him. More to the point, she is the bigger star - if she was uncomfortable she would have been able to voice her concerns (she literally did so multiple times re wardrobe!)

My sense is that Blake Lively is a bit of a twat and so is JB. That’s not illegal. But she has overplayed her hand by alleging sexual harassment to try to distract from her tone deaf behaviour and previous bad behaviour in interviews. Making up allegations against others is (rightly) an offence. From what I have seen so far, there is no evidence of Baldoni being anything other than a typical (annoying) Hollywood type. I sort of hope to be proven wrong in due course because I hate the idea that someone would make up this sort of thing in order to save face, but I haven’t seen anything that makes me think that on the balance of probabilities JB did what BL is alleging.

Selfishly, I am just annoyed as I used to enjoy following Blake on IG because we look pretty similar in terms of build and colouring and I used to shamelessly copy her fashion (okay, not the mega diamonds) as it’s nice to see a Hollywood actress with a normal figure…

DreamTheMoors · 24/01/2025 02:45

I don’t know either person.
However, I do know that almost all the people involved in this have backed Lively.
I know that the New York Times wrote a factual account of the situation and Baldoni sued the paper for slander.
I know that every time a woman - be they famous or somebody like you or me - befalls something like this, she has to endure a shitload of abuse from every direction.
And this time it was orchestrated.
And I know that whether people realise it or not, they’re taking part in that orchestration.

Paul Bethany.

One message, sent in 2013, made lewd reference to Heard’s “beaver”, and discussed her murder by “burning” or “drowning”.
“I’m not sure we should burn Amber,” wrote Bettany. “She is delightful company and pleasing on the eye. We could of course do the English course of action and perform a drowning test. Thoughts? You have a swimming pool.”
Depp replied: “Let’s drown her before we burn her!!! I will fuck her burnt corpse afterwards to make sure she’s dead.”
To which Bettany apparently wrote back: “My thoughts entirely. Let’s be certain before we pronounce her a witch.”

What a total innocent little lamb victim Johnny Depp is

I saw the video and am not sure what to think. I am leaning more to believing she wanted an affair and he wasn't into it so she went scorched earth on his reputation.
She has a rep for that

It probably doesn't help with the blinds about her husband, H and their mates ALLEGEDLY

Yes sounds plausible. She’s a married mother of 4 and she wanted an affair with someone she barely knew, he knocked her back and so she magically made him sexually harrass her just so she could get revenge.

Get real. Whoever said witch trials is right

Good point re Chris Brown etc,
Jack Nicholson doesn't seem to have been vilified after assaulting a woman to the point of permanent brain damage and a ruptured breast implant. I don't recall his reputation being in tatters and his career over.

Mike Tyson is a convicted rapist and adored the world over.

But oh no a woman made a mean comment once upon a time (to a journalist who seems to have a knack of pissing celebrities off) so who’s the real villain here?

JandamiHash · 24/01/2025 01:38

This whole case just seems like two absolute horrors of people coming into each others orbit and each thinking that they can destroy the other.

The thing with BL is that if she was a nice, decent person and not in fact a complete dick in interviews (her answer about what she would say to someone who disclosed abuse to her for example) there wouldn’t have been as much ammunition to use against her. The thing about her dragons (Ryan Reynolds and Taylor Swift?) shows the type of person she is, hiding behind her far more famous family and friends.

JB seems like a total sleaze ball and control freak.

Neither will come out of this looking good.

That question asked to her was fucking stupid and deserved a stupid answer. Robert Downey Jr never got asked how people worried about terrorism should find him. I like that BL asserts her boundaries and doesn’t sinker to stupid men

I think the pillow poop didn't help Amber Heard.

Johnny Depp was an alcoholic. 3 symptoms of alcoholism: incontinence, memory loss and violent denial about doing anything wrong.

Any half wit can see it was him who shit himself. But people love Jack Sparrow so we’re happy to believe it couldn’t be their beloved Jack

MrsTerryPratchett · 24/01/2025 01:32

Very bad move releasing that clip, it proves nothing, makes him look manipulative and abusive by releasing it.

I don't really understand this narrative. If one person alleges something why can't the other side give their version? It's not manipulation to want to defend yourself

Except he’s not defending himself. He’s been accused of sexual harrasment. This video doesn’t refute that in any way. It’s him going “Look she isn’t running away screaming she must be lying”. Which in 2025 we should know better than to believe it’s all that easy. We should know there’s no perfect way for a victim to behave before they become a valid victim

And it’s damaging AF by the way. The whole concept that women can’t be victims if they’ve ever been nice to their perpetrator is the reason so few rapists are convicted, so few women believed and even why child abusers get away with their crimes. So let’s just stop it at every level, shall we
