Nothing beats the feeling of...

A well stocked fridge...

A full tank of petrol in a freshly cleaned car...

Fully stocked bathroom with toiletries, new bars of soap, plenty of loo roll, new tube of toothpaste...

A full wood store and full basket of wood by the fire...

Ugh. I love the feeling. I think I have a bit of prepper in me. I love the actual act of stocking it all up and then looking at it like a caveman who's brought home a leg of mammoth for the family.

Being in love.

@FrannyScraps

It probably also brings about satisfaction of being able to afford it. There's a great comfort in not worrying about these things.

Not sure if this is a dig or not. Yes, I can afford these things. Yes, it's very satisfying.

Not a dig. Just adding to the comments. Your title is No better feeling of.. surely being comfortable financially is one of those.

Waking up and realising you’ve a couple of hours before you have to get up

The first coffee of the day…

I don't think OP was being tonedeaf. That having these things pleases her hints that it hasn't always been so?

Getting into freshly made bed, having just had a shower, with clean PJs on.

Even better if you’ve shaved your legs too, those clean sheets just feel even better!

Bonjovispyjamas · 18/01/2025 19:34

My cat welcoming me home 😻

Waffle19 · 18/01/2025 19:33

Being alone in an empty silent house, just after the cleaner has been!

A bit tonedeaf. If you read what others have written it's about small joys accessible to everyone.

CheesePerlease · 18/01/2025 19:32

An electric blanket and early night 😁

RamsaySnowsSausage · 18/01/2025 19:32

That first evening after you have finished work and have a week of AL ahead of you!

When a cat consents to a good scritchy-scrungle.

Waking up and having hours before you need to be up, so you can roll over and go back to sleep. So awful when you wake up 5 minutes before your alarm!!

Fetburzswefg · 18/01/2025 19:32

Getting your groceries delivered, and putting them all away in a cleaned and emptied fridge and knowing you’re all set for food for the week.

TheSoapyFrog · 18/01/2025 19:30

A bracing walk along the coastline, followed by a big glass of red wine in a pub with a log fire.

I'm with you about everything except the running 😅. Brisk walk here.

Priceless isn’t it! 😊

Being outside at 7 am for my run, watching the sun come up, no one around, very few cars on the road and the birds chirping away - bliss

Centering a ball of clay and pulling up a perfect wall.

Or

A pig poo after being constipated.

A massive dog jumping up with joy, greeting its owner! Makes me so happy watching it 😁

Putting your head on your pillow when all the family are home under the same roof (a rare treat these days!)

I like to garden and I love getting into the shower when I'm properly sweaty and dirty and stiff and then getting into clean clothes afterwards.
I love filling in the last number in a sudoku or the last work in a crossword.
I love massages. I must book one soon.
