A well stocked fridge... A full tank of petrol in a freshly cleaned car... Fully stocked bathroom with toiletries, new bars of soap, plenty of loo roll, new tube of toothpaste... A full wood store and full basket of wood by the fire... Ugh. I love the feeling. I think I have a bit of prepper in me. I love the actual act of stocking it all up and then looking at it like a caveman who's brought home a leg of mammoth for the family.

Hearing all my children in the same room together, making one another laugh. I love being in the kitchen and being able to hear them amusing each other and roaring laughing. It makes pretty much every stress and worry just melt away.

They are adults now, so being together is a rarity, but as they laugh it’s like they are all back in primary school.

Fresh line-dried sheets, naturally. Better than sex.

Oh that’s taken me back to the Waterstones queue just before midnight. Me and my mum used to go as a little ritual.

🥲 that was a wonderful time for me too. The excitement was unreal. I'd love to bottle that feeling of reading each book for the first time.

I'll raise you getting into a freezing cold bed when you are boiling hot.

DH likes the woodburner on, my face is the colour of a tomato and I've just got into an ice cold bed on my own to sleep after a super busy work week. I'm very pleased about this!

(and spare cold pillow on the floor next to me so I can swap pillows in the night when I get too hot in bed!)

Being filthy - as in muddy from being outdoors or sandy and salty from day at the beach, and getting into a warm bath to wash it all away, along with shaving legs and pits and bits. Following by drying in a warm, clean house, with a soft warm towel. And getting into brand new pjs, and brand new bed linen.

Bliss.

Even better if its torrential rain outside, you are toasty in bed with a hot choccie and a really good movie on.
