It sounds like such a simple question, but I’ve been wondering lately how many people genuinely reflect on these two things. Life can get so busy, and it’s easy to lose track of what truly matters. Are you happy with where you are in life? Are you healthy - not just physically, but mentally and emotionally?

AIBU to think that these two questions should matter more than almost anything else? And if the answer to either is no, do you think we owe it to ourselves to figure out why?

Yes! Lost weight and losing more, feel fabulous.
Got a nice enough life with daughter and dog and a cosy flat and an allotment and a holiday booked.
Love my job.
I'm on lifelong medication but with it I'm perfectly alright. Life is beautiful.

When I waa younger I thought everything could be changed with enough effort. But it can't.

Oh wow! Didn’t know there’s a limit to how many Qs can be asked in a post, question police! Get a grip and stop reading into everything.

This reply does not make you sound happy.

Physically healthy but not happy thanks to a few things outside my control. Not everything can be changed. Some things you just have to endure as there is no cure.

I’m at the happiest point of my life. I’m very chilled and don’t tend to worry much. My DH is amazing though which helps

When you say you've 'been wondering' do you mean you're doing some research about this? Otherwise, why so many questions and what is your AIBU?

Happy, yes - very much so.

Healthy - mentally yes, physically I guess not. I feel fine in myself but I am clinically obese. I don't have any of the associated issues with that (I'm not diabetic, no heart issues or mobility issues) but I don't think I could describe myself as healthy when I'm obese. I am actively trying to lose weight now though.
