Fucking door knocking charity callers. Why is it allowed? It’s intrusive and I bloody hate it.

Pink deodorant - always cloying and horribly floral.

Having to refill rinse aid

I think the menopause is hitting hard today.

Cold calling.
Chuggers.
The phrase 'coffee badging'.
Pointless meetings that should be emails.
Cars with flat backs.
Roadworks on motorways.
Lorries in the middle lane.
Tik Tok
Itching.
PMT
Oversharing on social media.

I am peri menopausal I think.

What on earth is "coffee badging" dare I ask?

I've never heard of it

@SabreIsMyFave

Yes, the nightmare of choosing a password that meets all of the many requirements!

I recently had to change my work password and each time I thought I'd got it, a message popped up telling me it was insufficiently complex, or contained an element I'd used before.

Eventually I got so cross I marched down to IT and told them to generate a password for me that met all of their millions of criteria. TBF they did it.

Bathroom doors without locks.
If this is you, guests absolutely hate visiting your house, just so you know.

denhaag · 16/01/2025 12:46

@panpipeschill I think we'd get on - assuming you haven't banned 'having a good old rant'!

I work in people’s own homes. The stench from one home literally makes me put them last on my list so I don’t have to sit in Smokey clothes all day and I can go home, shower and wash my hair

Ah yeah.....I didn't think very broadly then, did I.
I used to work in a pub when smoking was still allowed. That was bad!

MabelMaybe · 16/01/2025 12:29

Online platforms that keep showing you the same thing as you've recently bought. If I've just bought pegs, kid's vests, a kitchen timer etc. I'm not going to want to see more of them am I, but yet they keep on appearing, and then as side adverts too

Yikes. Where are you that smoking in the workplace is acceptable?

Password manager is a lifesaver. I use 1Pass (not an ad 😆).

I have password manager. Just tried to sign in to JustPark using my appleID and faceID - 'there is a problem, try again later (1009).
The website obviously only has a bot.
This was me just trying to enter my new car reg, not even park anywhere!

ItGhoul · 16/01/2025 11:40

Chewing gum. Everything about it is disgusting, including the people chewing it.

I just thought of another one - smoking.
not smokers but the smell of smoke lingering around, sticking to your hair/clothes and making you stink all day. Vile stench, even worse when you have no choice but to sit in the fug of cigarette smoke, with the stink getting into your clothes because you are working and the person you are helping refuses to go outside or open a window and just smokes all day long in one room. Blergh!

I hate this too! I'm quite sensitive to the smell of smoke and it often makes me feel nauseous when someone walks past me with the strong "just smoked" smell. At least try and mask it with some chewing gum or a spritz of perfume or something. Sometimes I feel like I'm trapped in the 70's or whenever when smoking in offices workplaces was still very socially acceptable. If you have several colleagues coming back in at the same time with that smokey fog around then, I literally find it stomach-churning 🤢

The boots app - I hardly shop there nowadays as I think their stores have gone downhill massively. I used to have a boots advantage card but it got damaged after so many years use and would no longer scan, then when I tried to replace it I got told it's all digital now. Except that whenever I try to sync the "digital" one they email me with my account on the app, it never works, so I only shop very rarely now via their website or in person if I happen to be in town, but I have no way that I know of of redeeming my receipts from in store shopping for points now. If it's not broken, don't try and "fix" it!

Also my superdrug points card - they no longer give plastic ones but these rubbish hard cardboard ones that are prone to damage from water, the details more easily getting rubbed off etc.

Also:

At least one uppercase letter.

At least one symbol ... Like [ or % or $ or £ or ! etc etc etc.

At least 1 number.

Cannot be similar to a previous one you have had.

Cannot be one that is used too much by other people.

Cannot have any names in it - especially not your own.

And yeah, sometimes, it has to be a minimum of 14 characters.

And then as for trying to remember it afterwards! Shock

Luckily, my passwords save for all my accounts on my laptop. But if I'm logging in from somewhere else (or on my phone,) I am screwed. 😬

Parking apps. Why can there not be just one universal app? Instead of arriving at a station car park in nice time to get your train and finding you have to log on (there's no signal/wifi/indication of how to do so), search for the app, create a new password, verify your identity, type in your numberplate (you can now hear your train pulling up), fill in a form with your email address and every house you lived in since you were twelve, pay - and then go through the process of verification with your bank, by which time the train has either gone or you've decided to take the hit and just pay the parking fine.

I got a new car in Sept. I have not had the strength to try and enter the new reg in any of the Apps yet, it just makes me so angry.
I just want to put 50p in a machine, do my 20 mins of shopping and go.

Not using your Nectar app on your phone for a while so it logs you out, and having to fight with the sodding thing in store to try and login again.
