Fucking door knocking charity callers. Why is it allowed? It’s intrusive and I bloody hate it.

Pink deodorant - always cloying and horribly floral.

Having to refill rinse aid

I think the menopause is hitting hard today.

White corporate males in their 30’s wearing brown shoes, gilets and flicked up hair.

Ban, remove their turnstile access and give them “Agency” pass cards <evil laugh>

People who think emails are an instant messaging or chat system and then email again if they haven't had a reply within 5 minutes or call me to check I've received it.

Yes I've got your email.
No I haven't read it, I have had 150 other emails today as well and you only sent it 5 minutes ago.
No I don't know the answers to the questions yet because I haven't read the email, as you only sent it 5 minutes ago.
No it's not urgent.
No I don't know what time I will be able to respond by. It really depends on how many more times I am interrupted with pointless phone calls.

It's been a long week.

Ant and Dec.
Tesco pickers who meet in a busy aisle for a chinwag with each other, then roll their eyes when you politely ask if they could move so you can actually reach a shelf.
Amazon boxes that need scissors to open, only to reveal that half of the contents is bubble wrap, last time round socks fgs.
Pigeons that get on my pigeon proof bird table and hoover up all the little birds food.

XenoBitch · 10/01/2025 20:22

People who hate dogs.

People at work who put empty boxes back in the cupboard .
<Should be rounded up and hosed>

Thiscouldbefun · 10/01/2025 20:21

People in saloons who drive around 20% below speed limit

JarvisIsland · 10/01/2025 20:21

Idiots, or rules put in place to save them from themselves that make everyday existence tedious for the capable. Had a week of being spoken to like the lowest common denominator and need to rant about it!

People who stop at the bottom of escalators, not exclusively, but mainly on the tube or at the airport. You have literally a day of time going down the thing to look out ahead of you for where you need to go next. Get your head out of your phone for 3 seconds and pay attention to your surroundings.

Maybe less of number 1 would get rid of enough of the causes of number 2. (Lighthearted before anyone starts!)

KIlliePieMyOhMy · 10/01/2025 20:19

Using the phrase "I, personally" or "I, myself" or
"on tenderhooks"

The messages that pop up when you're browsing for an item online, telling you that "47 people have looked at this item today" etc so that you can't actually see the bloody item. I don't care. Rage inducing.

Omg this! Erm can I see the item please?! Very is a culprit of this and boohoo

TyneTeas · 10/01/2025 20:16

People who do not even begin to think about what they might want to order while queuing even though they are surrounded by lists of what the options are until they get to the counter

People who park in the middle of a space that would otherwise have fitted two cars

Ontherocksthisyear · 10/01/2025 20:16

Signs with 'Live, Laugh, Love'

People who say 'My truth' and use the word 'thriving'.

People who describe a time in their life as a 'Season'.

Virtue signalling.

People who are obsessed with dogs

Adverts and “you must pay now” when you’re trying to read something online.

And the real life tinkly laugh people.

Do tinkly laughers really exist? <head tilt> I thought they were MN creations.

XenoBitch · 10/01/2025 20:15

Voice notes.
They are the verbal equivalent of a massive wall of text monologue.

KIlliePieMyOhMy · 10/01/2025 20:13

People who are rude to waiters/waitresses.
Letterboxes below waist height.
People using mobiles for FaceTime rather than actual phone calls.
Houses without any door number.
People using really long dog leads on a public street.
Poncy coffee orders.
Cupcakes

Fucking working 40 hours a week

JustAboutMuddlingThrough · 10/01/2025 20:11

Those stupid milk tags, that have the flappy bit in the middle to peel it off the top. 9 times out of 10 I can never peel it off and I end up with more milk down me whilst filling the Costa machine up at work than in the actual Costa machine. Same for tomato ketchup and salad cream, but at least at home I can pull it off with my teeth.

XenoBitch · 10/01/2025 20:09

Newsenmum · 10/01/2025 20:07

Those little bios people write on their social media. Plant mom, vegan warrior, CrossFit baby - you know the kind of thing. Someone I know has changed theirs to “First altruist, second entrepreneur.” 🤮

Oh yes, and people who list their occupation as "full time mum". Are mums not mums when they are at work?
And couples who have a joint FB account, and it is both their names mushed together into one long one.

Enigma52 · 10/01/2025 20:08

Channel 5 tv " programmes" which are constantly telling us how unpolitically correct and shocking, the 1970's era was.

Bounty chocolate.

Claudia Winkleman and that stupid fringe!

Frazzles.

The packets of bacon that have the easy to peel plastic open edge but when you pull it, it doesn't open the packet. Why put it on if it doesn't work? Boils my piss.
Myself, for always attempting to pull it open first, even though I know it wont, instead of just getting the scissors to open it in the first place.
Also this cold weather.

Sorry, but can I add people who use 'myself' when 'me' would suffice! Agree about the bacon though!
