Off the lead and enjoying a run around, we were the only people in that area of the national trust park,
It was closed to cars and not many people brave (or stupid) enough to walk.

We stumbled upon a lovely little family of snowmen,
however the one that she could reach was a really small but brilliant feathers McGraw with a carrot for a beak. I was going to take a photo and realised she's pinched his beak and ate it!

She's never stolen anything before but she was so fast!

Out of touch with the non-dog owning majority of the world…

Uncalled for. I was not winding people up. I am fed up of dog owners thinking it’s funny that their dog nicked something off a child.

I used to have a dog. Read the thread. I like dogs.

Yes, of course I offered, but she said it was her fault for leaving her shoe unattended! Would you feel the same way if some one had left £50 on the floor in the toilets?

Thank you. Finally a good dog owner pops up.

  1. apologise
  2. offer to pay for any damage
  3. if a child has been hurt, talk to the child and explain what happened
  4. if possible bring the dog back once things are calm and try to show a good less scary side

it’s not too much to ask is it?

if just two dog owners had taken the time we would not be in this situation.

My little dog doesn’t like Carrots, she loves Green beans though like to peel them apart. Luckily they don’t stick green beans on snow men.

Another polite and kind dog owner. Point well made. I stand by what I said.

Nice.

But nothing less than I would expect from someone who on another thread is calling the OP a cocktease simply because they have been messaging and not met up for a date yet ... yeah you're soooooo on the moral high ground aren't you GrinGrinGrin

I stand by that comment. 2 months is a long time. But if you want to argue to toss on something else be my guest. I have time on my hands and not much else to do right now 😆

and I’m hardly seeing the moral high ground on here. Just lots and lots of people offering rudeness and nothing in the way of understanding or kindness.

My DS goes bright red and can hardly breathe when a dog comes close. Do you know how hard it is to go to a park now?

So no I won’t get off my high horse.

not a single person has offered any kindness in the face of what is now a difficult thing to live with. Dogs are everywhere.

How do I fix this? I would actually like some help but you lot just seem to enjoy calling me names and like I’m psychotic.

You are all dog owners. I’m asking you to do better.

Seems like it’s pointless and my time is wasted here. You’ve all been very rude and entitled and only further proven that some of you really don’t care how your dog behaves the way you have spoken to me.

in the meantime I now have to find some way to help my DS get over this. I’m not sure he’s ever going to change now and I find that very very sad.

Oh bore off the lot of you too. Worshiping your animals and assuming the world does too. For the record I love dogs.

But I hate bad dog owners and I see rather too many signs of them here. So I thought it was high time for a reminder to be more vigilant and actually step in and offer to do the RIGHT THING.

Your’e a right old misanthrope though aren’t you.

Oh my Christ!

Pamela?! 🤣

Your dog is lovely! I considered a Border Terrierist but we had chickens at the time and didn't think they'd be a good mix. We got a cocker spaniel instead and she would steal all the picnics if she could and have zero shame

The raspberry bush in the garden is my dogs, she has them all.

I didn't remove all of it as it keeps coming back, it's his bush now 😆

My lab was pinched raspberries off a bush I had in the garden from one side. Had to move it way from him before he ate the lot.
