Would you send a naked photograph to your partner if he asked?
Just that really. I am not sure if this is the norm between couples. Mine has asked but I'm not sure if I should or not.

How do you feel?
Would you or have you?

Nope

Starsandall · 06/01/2025 20:21

I think with younger daters these kind of photos seem to be standard. I wouldn’t send a naked photo. But do send the odd sexy view once photo to my dp. He does the same. Never with my face. We don’t see each other as often as we would like so it helps keep things going! But even so someone can photo on another screen!

No and my god to everyone out there please don’t ever ever ever ever send naked pictures- I know someone who was bribed by a person they trusted and in the media there have been countless stories of people scammed/ bribed or it accidentally ending up outside of where it was sent to. I think all teens should be told this over and over and over again (sorry I just get shivers when I think about it)

Teens should be taught not to be ashamed when this happens to them.

Jl2014 · 06/01/2025 20:18

Definitely not. Once that picture is passed over then you have no control over what happens to it- which is likely that at some point it will be passed or shown to other people.

unsync · 06/01/2025 20:18

No. You have no control over what happens to it.

Generally yes, otherwise you're stating is a fact, not your opinion.

It’s obvious to most people that it’s a personal opinion in this context though, as ‘’sleazy’’ is a subjective word. So I’m not allowed to state an opinion without saying ‘’I think’’ but you’re allowed to say ‘’it’s not sleazy at all’’ instead of ‘’I don’t think it’s sleazy at all’’ Hmm, are you stating facts or opinion? Double standards there 🤣

I suspect I bothered you by calling it sleazy because it’s something you do and you take it personally when someone says anything negative. It’s the only reason you would be so bothered about what someone else thinks.

Never, and I've been married 24 years.

I trust DH with my life but he could lose his phone, get hacked etc.
It's not worth the risk.

This

For some people it's normal and for some not. But I think it's making yourself hostage to fortune

Sleepysleepycoffeecoffee · 06/01/2025 20:16

Absolutely not. I have been with my partner 21 years and though I trust he wouldn’t share it or use it against me, I don’t trust the ‘security’ of social media / messaging apps. If you do fancy it though, NEVER show your face in the picture 😁

AshCrapp · 06/01/2025 20:15

No, I wouldn't. Anything can happen to those videos and photos. Phones get broken, sent for repair, thrown out and salvaged, given to family members...

Catza · 06/01/2025 20:14

Porkyporkchop · 06/01/2025 18:23

Please don’t do this. If it ends up on the internet, your employer and everyone could end up seeing this and you’ll be sacked and humiliated

Why would your employer sack you for this? Of course, they wouldn't.

OP, I did and would do so again but only with a long-term partner and I never include my head in the shot. However, you need to be comfortable doing it which it doesn't sound like you are.

What do you mean how can you have sex without showing your body? I never wrote about not showing your body during sex - I wrote that it is not normal to send pictures of your private parts to people!

Great - I don't send pictures of my saggy arse to others and I am the abnormal one? Truly, the world has gone mad.

You choose not to send pictures of yourself, that’s fine.
People should not judge you for it.

But other people choose to do it and there’s their choice and it’s not for you to judge them either.

You have said nasty things about peoples bodies which is odd considering you’re not the one receiving the photos.

Stuffisperplexing · 06/01/2025 20:14

The reason it bothers me to read the "no never you'd just have to die if it ever got out" is that these attitudes contribute to people feeling their lives are over if a nude picture becomes public.

It absolutely doesn't matter.

Sherararara · 06/01/2025 20:14

Yes, loads. But we’ve been together, er 24 years (had to think then).

Hoplolly · 06/01/2025 20:11

Teanbiscuits33 · 06/01/2025 20:05

I said it was sleazy, you told me I was wrong because it isn’t. Do I have to always make sure I say ‘’I think’’ or ‘’I find’’ before having an opinion? People don’t always do that. It’s obvious it’s my opinion.

RisingSunn · 06/01/2025 20:10

Nope. As you know information security risks are prevalent.

Winterskyfall · 06/01/2025 20:04

No.

Feelinghurt2 · 06/01/2025 20:03

Please don't do it. If he has any respect for you, he will not ask again or kick up a fuss if you say no. He shouldn't have asked you in the first place. I have learnt to my cost that it's not a good idea. I was talked into sending one to a bloke I was seeing, years ago. I was silly enough to send it. He kept pestering me about it and I was younger and easily swayed. Then a few weeks later, he was drunkenly showing off to me that he and his friend had been leering over his friend's wife nude picture. I was horrified. That was the last time I saw him. I still worry where that picture of me has ended up.

TwattyMcFuckFace · 06/01/2025 18:19

Have you had sex with him yet?

Because if so, I'm sure he can remember what your bits and bobs look like.

I love the ‘bits and bobs’ description 😂😂

CaptainMyCaptain · 06/01/2025 20:02

No. Not that he would ever think of asking.

Mifiee · 06/01/2025 20:01

Together 25 years.

No. Maybe a slightly sexy nightdress (something it might be embarrassing for someone to accidentally see) but never naked.

Justhere65 · 06/01/2025 20:01

Absolutely not. I don’t understand why anybody would? You can never be sure where it might end up. It would be a huge ick for me and thankfully he recognises that.

Hwi · 06/01/2025 20:00

Wonderi · 06/01/2025 19:53

Well we are apes and yes all animals in the animal kingdom, including humans, flash their body parts at their sexual partners because how else would they be your sexual partner?

How can you have sex without showing your body?

You are the abnormally here and it’s fine to not feel comfortable sending photos or videos of yourself, but to have such an extreme reaction to your partners body is just weird.

You obviously have a lot of issues and I assume have never been naked or had sex, which is absolutely your choice but you must know that that is very uncommon.

Teanbiscuits33 · 06/01/2025 19:58

Exactly, and I’m entitled to think what I want, just as you are. You don’t have to reply to people telling them they are wrong to have their own view where doing so adds nothing to the discussion 😂. It’s not as if you were going to make me rethink my stance.

I am not telling you that YOU are wrong. Can you not see that?
