I have recently dated a guy and we were sexting and got onto the topic of sucking breasts.. and he put back, not joking, ‘goo goo gah gah I’d love to’ ?!?!

Is it a crime though?
Is it a relationship ending crime as suggested?
Is is worthy of complete banishment of what could, potentially, be a life affirming long term relationship?
How serious is this miscalculation in the MN world?
Defcon 1?
Ps. I was under the impression it was SEX TEXT? and not real time sexy talk on the phone.

Edited

It's not a crime. I don't think anyone is suggesting that it is. But if someone you've only just started dating says/does something that's a major turn-off, it's perfectly OK to realise that they're not the person for you. It's OK to dump someone because their joke made your skin crawl.

Ugh...
Reminds me of the guys who want to be called daddy in bed.😖

That's connotations of incest,🤢

Even sex text though, do you really want him bringing up babies / making baby "noises"? And this is when he's on best form trying to woo he into actual sex, not once he's got settled and let slip a kink. Imagine she actually meets up and gets naked with this guy and he starts pretending to breast feed. Bleurgh!! It's on a par with "Daddy"

SleepingStandingUp · 06/01/2025 23:59

Illegally18 · 06/01/2025 14:59

exactly ! and they are talking about breast sucking!

Any reply where one of you isn't pretending to be baby / child

ZipCode · 06/01/2025 23:56

Ew

@ConstanceM humor tells you a lot about the person, my soulmate and life affirming partner wouldn't say googoo gah gah in any sexual context. It's really not a tall order to want a normal human being!

That's the most ick thing I've ever read. Plus I now have inverted nipples.

It's also inverted my fanny 😅

Are men allowed to display humour or jokes? however badly received. It's seems on MN it's an act punishable by death or being ex-communicated.
Maybe send him to wear the Black in the Nights watch or some other medieval punishment.

You don't sound like you like the people on MN very much and your comment is quite the overreaction.

It would make me choose to stitch my fanny shut, then melt the flesh together with a blowtorch.

Jesus Christ this wins 😂

Of course it’s not a crime, but it’s gross and I imagine would put a lot of people off.

No one said it was a crime. It's almost like people can end relationships for whatever reason they feel like and no one has to stay stuck with someone they are incompatible with.

Major misjudgement in a new relationship. Seriously unsexy.

Not saying I'd end an established, happy relationship over it but it would be made damn clear I didn't want to hear/ see that again. OP says she's only recently been dating this bloke. For me this could very easily be goodnight Vienna and have me turning down further dates for something newish.

Format doesn't really make a difference, it's still intimate talk/ sexual. humour has a place but I'd say he was pushing his luck thinking he might have found someone who'd appreciate a babytalk reference.

ConstanceM · 06/01/2025 22:10

Waterboatlass · 06/01/2025 21:07

Baby talk during sex chat isn't funny though it's really dessicating. Especially when the joke is about being breastfed.

During sex, the guy I had been dating said: 'I'm riding you like a little pony'.

'The RSPCA will contact you shortly.'

What sort of reply is acceptable when sexting?

It's is only acceptable for the following to say: ga ga goo goo and that would be Brian May, Roger Taylor, John Decon and the ghost of the late great Freddie Mercury ........ Away freak

What sort of reply is acceptable when sexting?

One doesn't make you sound like a small child. That's not difficult to avoid.

I love a bit of sexting and I also love it when men talk during sex. But the point of both of those things is to be dirty/sexy/adult, not to make baby noises or try to be funny.

I'd be perfectly happy for a partner to text me about what enjoyable things he had in mind for my nipples in the bedroom later, but I wouldn't want him to do that in a way that involved stupid noises, baby talk, silly voices or anything that implies breastfeeding or childishness, because that's a colossal turn-off.

It's really not complicated. Mentioning nipples in a sexual context isn't somehow inviting the other person to make baby noises or reference breastfeeding FFS.

People replying as if the problem here is sexting itself are really missing the point.
