I’m going to try and achieve some of these goals in 2025:-

Earn 100k pa at least
Move to Hampstead
Buy a Range Rover
Shop only at Boden
BAN the Daily Fail
Have 101 on Speed Dial
Get a ring doorbell

NEVER open front door except by prior appointment

Diet and then NEVER thereafter exceed a BMI of 20

Get tested for neurodiversity

Make a whole cooked chicken last a week
Massive salad

Go NC with my ENTIRE narcissistic family

Book a spa day

Get rid of my toilet brush

Chronicle daily how little I’m eating to keep my BMI permanently under 20

Encourage all woo threads as it fascinates me - generally - be more ‘woo’

Declare friendship groups as too much drama

SO C’MON!! There are worse goals for 2025 to have, surely?

It does make you think what attracted them to live there in the first place ??!!!!

But it's unrealistic and privileged to question whether someone lives in a sensible place..

Jumell · 31/12/2024 16:17

kiraric · 31/12/2024 16:16

Yes and in general the number of posters who seem to live somewhere really inconvenient but be totally adverse to moving.

"I live rurally, don't drive, there's no childcare and anyway no jobs, I catch four buses to get anywhere." "I couldn't possibly move"

I am often struck by the number of people who live rurally and don't drive.

HardenYourHeart · 31/12/2024 16:14

Also make sure that you preempt any friend who is trying to say something with:

"I am sure, being x, y, z (aka. Mumsnet), you're going to say..." or "I am sure friend B will be along soon to say..."

Keep doing this till you have no friends left.

Yes. My grandparents fitted that bill and could only travel to the nearest town twice weekly

Twice weekly buses!

Their nearest family lived 15 miles away as well so not on doorstep !

First goal- constantly Quote the OP’s post. Even though there’s no real reason as we are basically all replying to it. Second goals is get more annoyed at inconsequential things. 😂

SleepingisanArt · 31/12/2024 16:08

If you have another child remember to enforce strict visiting hours but only after spending the first two weeks as just your nuclear family and nobody is to touch or kiss (the germs, think of the germs) said newborn until they are at least 12 (years not weeks or months)....

VelvetThunder · 31/12/2024 16:07

Take in ironing for extra income and get your free hour with the lawyer when you ltb.

ExtraOnions · 31/12/2024 15:59

…and Sex Washes of course

Throw away all within the hour of “best before”

ExtraOnions · 31/12/2024 15:58

Tip head to one side and say “did you mean to be so rude” or “are you on glue” - whilst everybody claps.

Falling out with all in-laws for trivial reasons

Spend time with “my little family” enforcing more and more ludicrous “boundaries” .. then moaning that have no relationship with people

usernother · 31/12/2024 15:58

Be shocked at anyone who doesn't think that one pizza is a meal for a family of four.

Lindisfarm · 31/12/2024 15:52

@Jumell
Don't forget to have a shower every 2 hours and change your sheets every day.

SnowFrogJelly · 31/12/2024 15:46

kiraric · 31/12/2024 15:41

Read a book every minute of the day, even if your world is falling down around you, take a book and read it and everything will be grand afterwards.

TBF this works for me

And me

SnowFrogJelly · 31/12/2024 15:46

And go to the gym at 6am 😬

SweetPea201 · 31/12/2024 15:43

Love this 😂
I always feel like I live in a different world to mumsnet 😂
Also I can never quite believe how many LTB threads there are!! I think every single woman/relationship know would of been told to LTB at some point 🤣

stopthepigeonstopthepigeon · 31/12/2024 15:42

And for the love of god, don't forget to post pictures of your fanny and arsehole.

What?? 🤣

YiayiaP · 31/12/2024 15:41

My rescue dog is ND (undiagnosed), eats me out of house and home, didn’t buy me a Xmas pressie and doesn’t pull his weight with the adult DC. Should I LTB??

PinkArt · 31/12/2024 15:40

While not displaying it in your house to show everyone how cultured and middle class you are, you could take that book on A Spa Weekend™️ @Wendysfriend

Jumell · 31/12/2024 15:40

Ohshutupsimonyoutwat · 31/12/2024 15:39

And spend every Sunday 'batch' cooking.

Gosh yes !!!

you can’t be a Mumsnetter if you don’t batch cook!

Insidenumber09 · 31/12/2024 15:16

Don’t forget to pad out all your meals with lentils 🤣

And spend every Sunday 'batch' cooking.

Wendysfriend · 31/12/2024 15:30

Don't forget to eat cheese for every meal with hard bread, although you won't have your teeny tiny figure doing this but at least you'll be able to wear your big flowery dresses .

Read a book every minute of the day, even if your world is falling down around you, take a book and read it and everything will be grand afterwards.

If your husband breaths he's shagging his co worker, you need to change the locks and kick him out but don't forget your birth cert, you know how important they are . Oh and don't forget the books too.

If you decide to enter a new relationship after your abusive husband dared breath, make sure to inform the next sod that he's not allowed any mates and if he does he can't go out after dark with them without prior permission, at least a year in advance! Then he must message you on the hour and not drink as you don't want to be with an alcoholic who drinks once a year .

And for the love of god, don't forget to post pictures of your fanny and arsehole .

Kenclucky · 31/12/2024 15:24

You've also missed "give your head a wobble at regular intervals". Definitely a Mumsnet goal.

😇
