‘D’ P farting while he’s prepping food

He’s in the kitchen chopping meat and just let out 2 enormous farts (and quite deliberately, not like there was nothing he do about it)- doesn’t care and doesn’t think it’s a big deal. He’s in the kitchen prepping food,
Am I being unreasonable to not want to eat with him now. I find when he does this sort of thing that it’s so disrespectful and just unpleasant.

My husband kept farting in our kids room while putting them to bed then shutting their doors and leaving the smell trapped. We had strong words!!

No - I wouldn’t do it quietly either. That’s worse- silent but deadly.

I fart all the time, always have. I don't/can't burp so I feel I fart double the amount. It wouldn't be possible for me to leave the room.

If I was going to be offended by farting ( which I'm not ) I think I would be more offending farting in bed rather than copping food.

Just to clarify, I do both. So does DP.

Were you also in the kitchen? I think intentionally farting around other people is gross, the being in the kitchen part wouldn't bother me.

Oh absolutely! If drinking fizzy pop means you need to burp loudly and uncontrollably then you can go enjoy them in your own room thank you very much.

Its not entertainment I personally enjoy but I’m happy for those of you who have found compatible partners and that you’re all enjoying a good old Boxing Day of farts! Have a nice time!

Some of these responses are crazy, human beings release gases from their body, sometimes they stink, sometimes they are noisy!
Of course it's not socially acceptable in a lot of situations but in your own home with your loved ones no one should feel disgusted at anyone, especially when they are sneaking off to fart themselves.

I can't imagine living with my husband and children and feel the need to sneak off to let rip and expect them to do the same thing, surely that's a really uncomfortable living environment...

Thanks I’m so glad you got sorted. Unfortunately nobody repaired the tears at the time so it’s a bit trickier as nothing is in one piece. Thankfully DH makes a lot of allowances and doesn’t care about farts 😊

Can you imagine the thread started on here by a woman saying 'I farted in the kitchen while I was preparing dinner for everyone else and DH is accusing me of being 'disrespectful''. Cue howls of "OMG! LTB! How dare that bastard not just be grateful for your efforts".
