I mean, he's a narcissist so therefore I believe he is almost definitely love bombing a girl right now, however the cheeky bugger๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜‚ I'm offended but this is hilarious. Having Christmas meals out with a girl he's only just started speaking to? WTAF๐Ÿ˜‚

I'm going against the grain here but I think you're right to feel this way

3 weeks to find a girl willing to spend Xmas day with is fast work

Honestly responses on MN are so fucked up it beggars belief

It maybe seems a bit soon but this could be as simple as them having a chat on a date or text โ€œso what are your plans for Xmas day,โ€ โ€œnothingโ€ โ€œoh Iโ€™m on my own too shall we go for dinner?โ€ I went for a walk on Xmas day during lockdown with my now DH (we had not long started speaking) as neither of us could travel to family.

CitiesInDust · 24/12/2024 10:00

That is fast.

How do you know?

So what if she is?

It doesnโ€™t matter what she is. My post was about the manโ€™s attitude, not the woman.

cuteyfluff · 24/12/2024 06:47

How rude. She's done nothing wrong here

I wasnโ€™t talking about the woman. I was talking about the exโ€™s approach to moving on.

How does love-bombing someone prove they are a noecissist?

No I know!! It's totally silly of me I know!! But I'm quite offended๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Is it because it's Christmas dinner, or would any dinner be as offensive?

ChampagneLassie · 24/12/2024 07:04

Broke up with my ex husband in November, in Dec he took his new GF to the Caribbean for a holiday to meet her parents ๐Ÿซจ
theyโ€™ve been married a few years now so it must have been the right call but astonished me at the time. And I felt very hurt

GeorgeMichaelsCat · 24/12/2024 07:01

It is a bit galling when you see them on a date so soon after you've broken up. He is free to do what he wants as he is single etc, but it can still feel upsetting like you meant nothing to them.

CookieMonster28 · 24/12/2024 07:00

That is weird. Hopefully he'll get bad wind from the sprouts and put her off.

LittleBitAlexisLaLaLaLaLa · 24/12/2024 06:59

One of my pet peeves on MN are people who declare others to be narcissists without any examples of said narcissism.

I really never have given a shit how any of my exes spend Christmas as long as itโ€™s as far away from me as possible.

End of November is almost a full month ago. You've finished, he's moved on.

GRex · 24/12/2024 06:55

Some people have bad relationships and need time on their own to break a pattern. Others feel better moving on straight away. It's perfectly reasonable for a single man to go to dinner with a new date. OP, all this bitterness is not good for you, move on yourself and you'll feel better.

Dobbythechristmaself · 24/12/2024 06:52

Thereโ€™s something very wrong with the people on this thread. You can feel the enjoyment of the sneering.

leia24 · 24/12/2024 06:51

My ex was in court for a non mol hearing with me on 4th September and on holiday with another woman on 6th September ๐Ÿ‘

FancyNewt · 24/12/2024 06:50

I'd feel a bit put out too OP. People don't immediately 'move on'. As some weird posters here imply. Just count yourself lucky that you're not sat with him.

Some men canโ€™t be alone. She could be any old lump of lard in lipstick and a pretty frock.

So what if she is?

cuteyfluff · 24/12/2024 06:48

icelolly12 · 23/12/2024 20:22

Is it only me that would also be hurt by an ex moving on so quickly?

Also this isn't a coffee in Costa, it's Christmas- a time spent with your significant other/s

Edited

On christmas eve eve?

I wonder if it's more restaurants get booked quite far in advance and they must have had this arranged a while back?

Probably meant to take op

OnlyMabelInTheBuilding · 24/12/2024 06:47

Thereโ€™s nothing wrong with him doing this.

How do you know anyway?

You do post about him a lot, try to move on.

Going on a christmas dinner date isn't love bombing. It sounds cute.
