Lighthearted post really , but I really feel we get a rough deal. My birthday is on the 23rd December. Interested in hearing other stories or even those born on the 25th itself!
Or if you can think of any positives to this I would be very surprised.
Along side the ... I got you this for you birthday and Christmas presents , the cancelling of not making your birthday due to other Christmas events happening or just being too skint as it's Christmas there's more of a chance people forget you over this period. I dread mine every year.
Tell me I'm wrong?

Both my children are born 21st and 23rd December and I LOVE IT. It makes the Christmas week all the more special and I hope they carry on the love for Christmas and magic when they are older 🎄

Mine is Boxing Day. I've always liked it. Makes me feel special! Also I'm always so caught up in planning for Christmas that I forget I've got a birthday in there too so that's fun. Plus with it being just after Christmas it postpones the post-Christmas blues.

I don't like 'and happy birthday' written in a Christmas card from people who would send separate ones to anyone else, or birthday presents wrapped in Christmas paper - if you wouldn't give me a card or gift for my birthday if it was in July, then that's fine, you don't need to give me one! But if it was in July you obviously wouldn't be wrapping it in Christmas paper or writing in a Christmas card so please at least treat it like a separate event like you would if it was at any other time of year.

DD is 23rd. About to be 7. We've always kept birthday totally separate but I think that will get harder to police for other people as she gets older.

I've offered to swap with her as my birthday is as far away from Christmas as possible and I hate it. Hate any recognition of it at all so a Christmas birthday that gets completely overlooked by Christmas would be perfect for me.

I think if people really want to they will make the effort.

My friends birthday is on Saturday, her gift is wrapped to be given on Saturday when we are going out for a birthday brunch and a mimosa or two.

My niece is the 27th, her gifts are wrapped and ready to take to her on the day when the family will gather for cake.

DH is 23rd December. I always try to make it a proper birthday day for him and not a Christmas one.

A good friend has a birthday on 25th December. When they got to about aged 20, they simply decided to "change" their birthday to 25th June. Of course all official documents etc. still state Dob as 25/12, but he just celebrates on 25th June. Seems to work for everyone!

My birthday is on officially the worse day of the year. Advantage, I’m usually off work. And I usually avoid the can’t socialise/ too skint and tired friends by going away. It’s a very efficient time of year to get away without using too much leave.
