It seems they've cruised along nicely. Thank you tax payer. 20 holidays in 1 year

They will make an enormous amount of money from online content creation so I don’t think they’re holidaying at the taxpayer’s expense, but I personally think it’s impossible to be good parents to 22 children and I think the older ones are consistently roped in to care for the younger ones which is inappropriate and can be abusive.

AnAlpacaForChristmasPleaseSanta · 17/12/2024 18:47

The threads about them on cough the other^ forum * is eye opening!

Thank you taxpayer 😂 they've got a successful business and make a fortune from social media. I can think of worse people to get riled up about. Their lifestyle choice really doesn't offend me in the slightest much as my brain is blown at the thought of that many kids!

Go back in time

I believe they support themselves completely. I do question why anyone would want 20 (?) children though.

The state covered their schooling and their healthcare costs. Times 20, that's a hell of a lot. Plus child benefit, and all her pregnancies and births.

TheFairyCaravan · 17/12/2024 18:24

People are so naive. The tax payer paid out a fortune for them before they got successful with their social media and tv career. He’s not Mr Kipling fgs. And giving birth 22 times, sending all those kids to school etc doesn’t come cheap.

This. Absolutely this.

Yuck indeed. From grok:

  • Sue Radford was 13 when she first became pregnant, and Noël was 17 at the time. They were both below and above the age of consent, respectively, in the UK, where the age of consent is 16.

Well, in Dubai thus would land him/ them in jail.

nutsandraisinsrock · 17/12/2024 18:44

@LadyKenya but surely if you put yourself out there on telly and Instagram and so on, you open yourself up to all the criticism?

If you start monetising your lives in public, people won't 'leave you alone' - the family don't WANT people to leave them alone as then they won't make any money?! You can't have it both ways. I can't bear people who have made their lives public for money and then complain when people don't like them. Stupid.

ChristmasinBrighton · 17/12/2024 18:26

Well I applaud their attempts to bolster the number of future tax payers.

I don’t know who people think is going to pay their pensions and healthcare unless we can reverse the ageing demographic trend.

This. Absolutely this.

TheThreeCheesesOfTheApocalypse44 · 17/12/2024 18:43

Do you really think they're living that sort of lifestyle and getting money off the taxpayer ?? Fucking hell 🤣🤣🤣

And I can guarantee they'll be earning far too much to get child benefit. Honestly 😶

They have not done too badly for a "gormless Couple" though, have they? People should just mind their own business, and leave them alone.

I’m allowed my opinion aren’t I? 😂 if you don’t like what people are saying maybe you should leave this thread

It's bad for the environment to have so many kids. Think of all the nappies and consumption.

When the taxpayers fund their brood....
When they put their life out on show. Of course people will have an opinion.

If they wanted people to 'mind their own business' they would just live a 'normal life' and not pretend to think they're famous...

bumblefeline · 17/12/2024 18:41

Can't believe these lot associate with the Inghams after what creepy Chris has done.

LadyKenya · 17/12/2024 18:40

BeLilacSloth · 17/12/2024 18:37

I cannot believe they’ve become so popular and successful, they really are the most gormless couple.

Justforfun123 · 17/12/2024 18:40

What's the taxpayer got to do with it? They own a bakery and get enough money from tv

Ljh2019 · 17/12/2024 18:40

Not to mention they've just been on holiday with the Inghams - the father of the family has a very dubious recent history (Chris Ingham) so I was confused with the willingness to associate with them.

WeeOrcadian · 17/12/2024 18:40

I always wondered HOW MUCH their pies sell for to be able to support all those kids

And he's creepy, makes my skin crawl. What kind of 18 yr old bonks a 14 (13?) year old? Bleugh

Betsybee88 · 17/12/2024 18:39

Tbf I think a lot of their viewers order out of loyalty to the family. I know they ship out a few online orders.
But tbh they get their money from tv/social media don't they. That's what gets the cash rolling in. People must watch for their contracts to keep being renewed.

suburburban · 17/12/2024 18:38

I used to like them but they now come across as shallow and wasteful.

Tbh I think their dc will follow suit with having dc.

They are not encouraged to have a career

I highly doubt that anything they may, or may not have received, in a past life is a patch on the amount of taxes they will have paid into the system since

Dramatic · 17/12/2024 18:37

I used to quite like watching them in the older series but the new ones are scripted and set up which is really irritating.

I don't care about their lifestyle and where they make their money from to be honest.

Well, quite. I think we are still supposed to believe the magic pie shop spin.
