To ask about men 5ft 7 and 9 stone?

Jumell · 17/12/2024 10:01

I’m getting back with my ex - and he mentioned last night he was 9 stone - he’s 5ft 7

i always thought he’s got a gorgeous lean physique but still think this sounds skinny for a man

but he looks fabulous I think 🙌

Any thoughts on these stats ?

I think that sounds small and I definitely wouldn’t be attracted to someone 5’7 and 9stone. I’m confused if you think he’s hot why even ask the question?

Oh for the love of god will you stop starting threads about 56 year old virile lean Gen X blokes!!!

Nooooo.
I am a single 54 year old woman. Send 'em my way!

It's like listening to my grandmother when she's halfway down the Harvey's Bristol Cream....

Yeah I definitely think there’s a bit of that being partaken in!

I look forward to OP’s posts, never quite sure what random, weird and odd musings they’re going to come out with next! 😄

No issue at all - I thought - and still think he looks good - I just thought 9 stone sounded light - that’s all

Well you've another thread up, talking about your goal is to keep your BMI below 20 for 2025 so you clearly know your weight stuff and it doesn't matter what we think.

Which means you just fancy a chat about your New Man so why beat around the bush? Is it a quiet day in the office??

eastcoasterly · 17/12/2024 14:33

@Jumell thank you Flowers

I think you sound unhinged, controlling and judgy so he should go back to being an ex if he knows what's good for him.

Between this and your Greggs £30 food budget, you should get some help with your food and body issues.

Haven't read TROTFT but this sprang to mind. I noticed OP on the thread about the woman who was clearly struggling with developing an ED, and @Jumell was cheering her on until she noticed that other posters were addressing serious food issues.

OP you have an issue with weight, size, appearance that isn't healthy.

Ooof no thanks. I’m 5’4 and 8 stone he’s not much more than me! But I’m the wrong person to ask, I’ve dumped guys before for being too skinny for me

I like a big broad muscle chunky man, my husband is 14 stone and 6 foot, rower build

you are what I’d like to be - 5 ft 4 /8 stone !

The same ex you allegedly ran into the other day/week? Surely you saw what he looked like when you last saw him? What's your issue?

And why do you care whether other people think it sounds thin or not?

@FatOaf well done! I've reduced mine from 43 to 26, I know how amazing it feels to get down from obese (or morbidly obese in my case). Genuinely well done 👏

THAT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

Assuming he's of typical build (i.e. not a body-builder, rugby forward, etc.), 9 st (57 kg) is within the healthy body mass index (BMI) range for a 5'7" (170 cm) male (BMI=19.7 kg/m²). It's towards the lower end of the healthy range, but it's not underweight. The healthy range is 18.5-24.9 kg/m².

Having only recently managed to get my own BMI out of the obese range and into the overweight, I'm perhaps a bit more interested in this than I should be.

As congratulations- believe me I KNOW how good it feels when you go from the Obese to Overweight category! It’s a huge achievement!

Congratulations 🍾🍾🍾 🙌

Do you think like me it sounds thin for a man

or not particularly

BMI under 20. That’s a massive no from me.

Why do you write like a sex-starved teenager, has it been a while?

I’m actually currently watching the chase sequence at the end of Benny Hill ..

Better the Scalextric than my second choice of pressie for him - which would’ve seen his eyes light up when playing with his Chopper on Xmas Day !

An odd bit of objectification when in yet ANOTHER thread elsewhere you wax lyrical on reconnecting with the love of your life 6 months ago, who I assume is the ex you are getting back with? He who went to the rough secondary school that the whole of MN puts down....

I think he sounds like he’d blow away in a strong wind. He definitely sounds underweight to me, but to each his own, I guess.

That’s rude. Are you always this bad mannered?
