To declare cheap white chocolate the king of all chocolate (even though I accept it’s not actually chocolate)

I like chocolate in all its varied forms but I LOVE cheap white chocolate. The kind they make white mice from. I accept white chocolate isn’t actually chocolate but I don’t care.

AIBU?

Thumbs down from me. Waaay tooo sweeet!
Cheap vanilla, waxy texture, and eating it reminds me of how much fat is in it. Mostly though, it's how super sweet it is, has a nerve calling itself chocolate!

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 16/12/2024 22:30

Bleurgh no. I don't even like good quality white chocolate very much. The cheap stuff just tastes like sugary wax.

Hernameisdeborah · 16/12/2024 22:27

White mice are just delicious. I also love white chocolate with radioactive pink goo in it ... so bad yet so good!

Joni234 · 16/12/2024 21:35

White chocolate IS chocolate. It's made of cocoa butter. It's a type of chocolate. Why is no one else questioning this.

Hellskitchen24 · 16/12/2024 20:28

Not cheap but Green and Blacks white is devine.

For cheapo I like the Sainsburys own brand value white chocolate, tastes like condensed milk, and yes I know it’s pure crap lol

BeyondMyWits · 16/12/2024 19:36

I quite like white chocolate, but found my absolute favourite chocolate(so far) at the weekend... waitrose blonde chocolate with pecan praline. It is kind of like white chocolate crossed with caramac.

I have to not buy it.

Cardboardeaux · 16/12/2024 19:36

Yabu and need to go to jail for that statement

Pijal · 16/12/2024 19:03

I love white chocolate, a milky bar is first choice but I love jazzies like the pp

Laureolaaa · 16/12/2024 19:02

YAB extremely U

Lidl white chocolate with whole hazelnuts is manna from heaven.

This 😋

56Chandeliers · 16/12/2024 18:59

Not a massive fan of white chocolate, but unlike milk and dark, the cheaper the better if I’m having it at all. Tried an artisan white chocolate bar once - weird and disgusting.

Frosty1000 · 16/12/2024 18:59

Aldi giant white chocolate buttons are yummy and better than branded version.

TriangleLight · 16/12/2024 18:57

You are correct!

You4coffee · 16/12/2024 18:56

Yes. I particularly like the one from a french supermarket with coconut and rice crispies. My absolute fav. Disgusting but also delicious.

Sportacus17 · 16/12/2024 18:55

No!!!

it’s tastes like sick

UtterlyButterly2048 · 16/12/2024 18:54

YABU. It is vile, poisonous, horrible shite. Even “good” white chocolate is the devils work. And those white mice? And Jazzies? Never. Would rather starve!

TheOliveFinch · 16/12/2024 18:54

I don’t like it at all but it would save money if I did but my daughter loves it

MissYouForever · 16/12/2024 18:53

I used to love white mice. Until I became intolerant to gluten. They have wheat flour in them which is utterly bizarre and infuriating

MrsTigerface · 16/12/2024 18:50

Hard no from me (I can’t see the point of the stuff, even though I have a really sweet tooth) but my DH would enthusiastically agree with you. Give him some Milky Bar, or white chocolate Toblerone, and he’s in heaven.

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 16/12/2024 18:18

Yanbu at all. I love sugary vanilla fat bars. Jazzies are like the fat balls birds get, but for people.

I'm happy with 100% cocoa dark chocolate, but I would miss crap white chocolate if it disappeared

Jc2001 · 16/12/2024 18:14

Lidl white chocolate with whole hazelnuts is manna from heaven.

ThatSchoolOfficeLady · 16/12/2024 18:13

YABVU. 90% dark is the only way.

Offcom · 16/12/2024 18:13

YABU (to make me really fancy a Milky Bar)

Ohwhatfuckeryitistoride · 16/12/2024 18:08

Poundland white fake toblerone. May have fall let in my basket today. Actually the milk one is good too.

Beatzzz · 16/12/2024 17:50

Not the cheapest but also definitely not expensive - I have a milkybar advent calendar. White chocolate is superior
