He’s fucking locked me out.

Basically this. I’ve text him as I can’t get in, I’ve just finished work. He’s on a works Xmas party.

Said he was setting off at 8:45 and he’d be home for 9 so I said cool, take the key.

Now it’s 10pm and I’m sat in a fucking bus shelter because he’s locked me out and won’t come back with the keys, he’s out and apparently I’m unreasonable for asking him to come home to at least let me in.

I haven’t a clue what to do, it’s 4°, my street is poorly lit and this place doesn’t shut til 12. I can’t afford a lock change so that’s out of the question and my mums not in. So I literally have to just wait.

Take this as a wake-up call. A partner who cared for you would not leave you outside in the cold for over 3 hours. They couldn't. How can he be enjoying himself knowing you are outside? He is showing you no respect. Please leave him. You deserve so much better. Could you go and stay with your mum whilst you find somewhere else to live? How old are you OP and where abouts are you based?

Can you stay at your Mum's? Honestly if you were my daughter, I'd be livid. He has prioritised his social life over your safety and wellbeing. Utter shit. He could have come home, let you in and returned to his friends.

I'd get yourself a few keys cut, put them in your bag. It's up to him to sort out if he loses them, just don't let him know you have spares! But I think your problems are deeper than this. Those texts are vile, he doesn't give a shit...
