Child Safeguarding Win, Puberty Blockers have been indefinitely banned across the ENTIRE of the UK (for off label use, precocious puberty use remains)

A great day for child safeguarding, this is evidence, reason and medical expertise over pressure groups.

A terrible shame for those children that this is too late for, who have been permanently harmed by ideologues and will never be able to have their body back the way it should have grown.

@ApriCat Butterfly has already stated up thread that they're in their 40s.

Any claims of having been on puberty blockers as a child or teen is an outright lie.

As are many of the other spurious claims they make on MN.

GnRH agonists were prescribed for gender incongruent youth prior to 2011 in the UK.

The early intervention trial started in 2011.

Well I suppose I can't force you to believe the truth but you really ought to do more talking to the people who were actually there.

'Puberty blockers were first used in the UK in 2011, as an uncontrolled research study. There was no consistent improvement in psychological well-being or other mental health outcome measures (a contrast to the original Dutch study) and 98% of the group given puberty blockers went on to use gender-affirming hormones (GAH). In 2014, puberty blockers were routinely made available in clinical care in the UK, a move which the Cass review describes as having ‘unclear…rationale’.' Source: https://www.rcgp.org.uk/

So, 10 to 13 years ago, Butterfly? And you were 16 then and are now 25 to 29? Or were you not based in the UK, or not obtaining PBs from a UK source?

For anyone new to this, here's an excellent explanation by a leading psychiatrist / psychoanalyst Dr David Bell - one of the original whistleblowers who exposed the scandal happening at GIDS - the Gender Identity Service. He's talking about the explosion of girls thinking their bodies are flawed but a sex change will cure them. He's well worth listening to, not just for his professional insight but for his compassion for confused children and young people:

You weren't there, you're a LARPer. Pics or it didn't happen.

Oh my god

No, it really isn't. I'm surprised you aren't already aware.

I'm aware that it's a lie you repeat constantly, the figures are clear on this. You decline to produce evidence every time you're asked and for good reason, the evidence counters your propaganda.

ButterflyHatched · 18/12/2024 01:30

No, it really isn't. I'm surprised you aren't already aware.

Then post proof! But you won't, you never post proof of any of your lies.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 18/12/2024 02:02

How about you back up your unlikely claims, @ButterflyHatched? Because it looks like no one is inclined just to take your word for it. That's fine, we don't have to agree.

ButterflyHatched · 18/12/2024 01:44

SinnerBoy · 18/12/2024 01:34

Yes, it really is utterly false. From other posts, you must be aware that I was giving you the benefit of doubt, but no more.

I see you.

I suggest you do some research before shouting at me about falsehoods. The indignation on display here from you is really quite interesting.

Already done, but:

It's recently been confirmed that at least some of these deaths were actively excluded from the stats

This is a wicked, egregious falsehood. It's a nasty attempt at emotional blackmail. You should have that post, along with similar ones, withdrawn.

What with that and your exhortations to engage in sex by deception, I wonder whether you have a moral compass.

No, it really isn't. I'm surprised you aren't already aware.

@ButterflyHatched it is precisely because I've done my research that I'm querying your claims.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 17/12/2024 15:32

ButterflyHatched · 17/12/2024 14:02

I'll remind you that you are currently replying to someone who was one of those children, sought treatment young, went through the full assessment process and received it, and didn't have any of those comorbidities.

And I would remind you that you are "performing" on a site full of women with genuine insights and understanding - both as parents and as women - into the needs of children and their right not to be gaslit by self interested adults.

Your fascination with yourself offers nothing of value to these children or their parents. You attempt to emotionally manipulate with endless posts sharing all manner of unasked for details of your life and then wail when women are sceptical or disinterested in your emoting. You dismiss all facts and evidence from Cass, politicians, the NHS and the rest, yet are unable to present any of your own data - despite repeated requests.

You're on a parenting site yet you spend your time attempting to undermine parents, post conspiracy theories about child suicide and deny all the evidence about the harm that's happening to children. Not a good look.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/12/2024 14:28

Nevertheless, the comorbidities exist.

ButterflyHatched · 17/12/2024 14:02

MrsOvertonsWindow · 17/12/2024 12:33

No. And stop frantically appropriating women's experiences with healthcare for your own ends. The rest of us understand all the evidence (GIDS, Time to Think, Cass etc) that demonstrate that children who think they're the opposite sex have countless mental health co morbidities including eating disorders, self harm, anxiety along with autistic children being massively over represented in this group.
We're women, many of us are mothers and we all empathise and understand with the hurt and confusion that these children feel while being clear that they need protecting from the extreme transactivists - groups and individuals - in cynically using these children to further to pursue their own selfish demands.

ButterflyHatched · 17/12/2024 12:06

A lot of children presenting to mental health services have been through hugely unpleasant circumstances and need a great deal of support.

Dealing with that and also with gender dysphoria must be horrendous. I only had to deal with the dysphoria and it was bad enough on its own.

Please stop with the projection that every young person experiencing gender incongruence has some kind of issue that invalidates it. It is deeply insulting and an example of the same kinds of rhetoric used to dismiss and invalidate women's own experiences of heathcare needs.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/12/2024 12:22

That depends on the details of how it's run, and you can be sure there will be a lot of scrutiny across the world, @ButterflyHatched

ButterflyHatched · 17/12/2024 12:08

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/12/2024 10:31

Yes, you'd think somewhere they'd have run a clinical trial, the accepted means of ensuring treatment is evidence-based, safe and effective, before now?

So you support the clinical trial and will fully abide by its findings, will you?
