Aibu to shamelessly ask you what your favourite festive cocktails are?! Or any cocktail for that matter!

I love a Black Cow Christmas vodka with Prosecco.

Gin and Dubonnet is wonderful. It tastes very festive to me. I normally drink a few negronis. Replacing the vermouth in a negroni with Dubonnet is lovely too.

Ooh, exciting... Can hardly wait to try that one!

Confusedmeanderings · 09/12/2024 20:25

Yep, definitely a snowball! Im quite partial to a tequila sunrise - such pretty colours!

everycowandagain · 09/12/2024 20:20

Team Snowball!

Manhattans and Negronis are my go-to winter cocktails. There’s something about red vermouth that is very redolent of the season. Whisky Macs are another good option.

Funny, to me red vermouth is a summer drink.

This Clementine Gimlet is lovely!

An amaretto sour. Extra sour. Also can consume extreme amounts of baileys in the festive period

Snackpocket · 09/12/2024 19:56

There was a Christmas cocktail at a bar I went to at the weekend which was Bailey’s, amaretto and oat milk. Was very tasty!

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 09/12/2024 19:55

Yup, at Christmas, it has to be a Snowball!

Teenycanary · 09/12/2024 19:53

Snowballs and Harvey Wallbangers . Retro 😄

CheerfulBunny · 09/12/2024 19:51

I drink A LOT of snowballs every Christmas which reminds me of my grandparents and Christmas when I was a child. Always with maraschino cherries and a little paper umbrella. I appreciate they're not everyone's thing.. 😄

lissie123 · 09/12/2024 19:46

Love love love a Pisco sour

Brandy alexander 🍹

I also came here to say a brandy Alexander (if you want something creamy). So simple and so delicious.

But it won't work for an aperitif / with savoury food!

Pippyls67 · 09/12/2024 19:31

Still can’t beat a Snowball. Yummy.

@XWKD

It is much featured as the drink of choice on the "Help I sexted my boss" podcast with William Hansen and Jordan North. It's very, very funny (and quite very rude!)

NolongeraboutShaun · 09/12/2024 18:11

@XWKD are you a G & Diva?

If so - cheers! (and no clinking).

I didn't know there was a name for our sort! 🤣

Poinsettia not too intensely alcoholic, although I'd never turn down a Negroni, and it looks really pretty in the glass.

We make this every year.

I had a cranberry martini last week and will definitely be doing it again. Simple but delicious.

The Godfather is approx 2 parts Scotch to 1part amaretto. Serve over ice in a whisky tumbler. The almond-y taste of the amaretto is very Christmassy despite the drink’s somewhat non-festive name.

LOpportunityCestFuckingEnorme · 09/12/2024 17:34

Does Baileys hot chocolate count?

https://www.waitrose.com/ecom/recipe/winter-berry-bellini

Or cherry bakewells- cherry brandy and amaretto topped with prosecco. Or lemonade.
