Biden has pardoned his son because his conviction was a "miscarriage of justice".

Is this the total end of standards and even a pretence at integrity in public life? This is a president, who admittedly like all the others, allowed innocent people to be executed in their joke of a justice system. What a hypocrite.

Look at the lefties falling over themselves to make excuses. ‘Oh but Trump’, ‘oh but he was innocent’ ‘oh but that’s the system (never mind that Biden said he would not do this)’.

The hypocrisy on the left never ceases to amaze.

No wonder Trump wiped the floor clean with Harris.

I am “on the left” but I find the hypocrisy sickening too.

How can he trust his son will be safe in prison when someone as blatantly corrupt as Trump is in power? He clearly has no other option but to carry out an act of blatant corruption himself! But but but it’s okay because he’s a goodie and Trump’s a baddie.

Phew. Justice prevails.

Ytcsghisn · 02/12/2024 07:09

This thread is genuinely hilarious.

Its like a comedy sketch.

The lefties straining every sinew to find the most obscure, peculiar, embarrassing justifications for Grandpa Biden’s actions.

If you love Biden so much, or have so much froth at the mouth hate for Trump (I suspect it’s the latter), the best way to expires you moral superiority is to accept that this action is inexcusable. But they just can’t bring themselves to do it.

Its so funny to watch.

You could let every lying politician on the planet off the hook using this logic

It wasn't true at the time because he's pardoned him.

This isn't suddenly deciding you want tea instead of coffee, it's someone who's decisions affect billions of people. Its the most powerful man on the planet demonstrating that the criminal justice system doesn't apply to his family.

So, if you've ever changed your mind, does that make you a liar?

A victimless crime????? are you joking?????
Hunter and Joe are in bed with the CCP, literally Americas enemy.

Also, there are many, many victims of the illegal immigrants, allowed into USA under Joes watch, who would be turning in their graves if they could see the leader of the Biden crime family pardoning his despicable drug addled, money laundering hapless son, who fully deserves to be locked up for years and years.

The same Joe Biden who does not recognise, or acknowledge his own grandchild. What on earth does this family have to do before his band of tone deaf supporters realise that he is actually bad to the bone.

Good riddance to them, I hope we never have to hear of them again once he leaves (got kicked out) of office.

Hilarious - when Putin's puppet has just got in.

Biden didn't lie earlier in the year when he said he wouldn't pardon his son - what he said was true at the time but he has since changed his mind. I do not condone his decision.

Imagine if Trump had done this.

Cue ‘yeah but, no but…..’

Oh they never learn. Even after getting a pasting, they never learn.

Clutterbugsmum · 02/12/2024 06:52

I glad Biden has done this.

If you read his statement Biden is very clear with his reason in doing so. Any other person who had committed the same offenses as Hunter would not have even been charged let alone have a Plea agreement thrown out because of interference from Trump lackies.

I see

So had he been re-elected he would have just let his son unfairly rot in prison.

That's what he promised.

What a stand up guy

HardenYourHeart · 02/12/2024 06:54

Thisisunbelievable · 02/12/2024 06:09

That’s a good point.

I agree. I can't blame Joe Biden for this, given what has happened in the past years. If I were part of the Biden family I would even get out of the country before Trump comes to power, because I doubt they will be safe from that point on.

These bedwetters are really really worried about Trump getting in. You don’t need to be a Trump supporter to see that.

Would this not count in your "end of standards" OP?

BiggestFan · 02/12/2024 06:28

Just another politician abusing his position. Nothing new, right or left wing, most of them do it.

Biden can get back to sniffing little girls hair now. Sicko.

ChessorBuckaroo · 02/12/2024 06:28

Biden pardoning an individual is an "end of standards" apparently.

For roughly the last six months, like many others I've watched footage of dead men, women and children being pulled out of rubble, often with parts of their body no longer in tact. But enough of that, or what was done to the Natives ("they gunned down the millions of Redskins to a few hundred thousand, and now keep the modest remnant under obersation in a cage" - Adolf Hitler, 1928), or the enslavement of Africans of which the elite planter class, including jefferson and washington, owned over 600 human beings, or the endless wars against non white peoples (Philliipines, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq etc and the massacres and abuses that took place), him pardoning an individual (a white western man) is THE "end of standards".

Butchyrestingface · 02/12/2024 06:17

I notice the pardon covers the period 2014-2024. If I were Hunter, reckon I’d be making plans to leave the country, lest Trump starts digging for evidence of criminality before this period (I find it hard to believe Biden Jr was a boy scout until 2014 and then woke up one morning and thought, “hey, what can I do today?”)

TheTidyBear · 02/12/2024 06:15

KillerTomato7 · 02/12/2024 06:11

The oath isn’t that long, if you care to read it, and Biden didn’t violate any part of it with this pardon. You need to look these things up before going on about politics in another country.

He is not executing his position of office in faith, he is pardoning a convicted criminal because he is his son

This is not hard to understand

Perhaps you should stop defending men who abuse their position of power and attacking other forum members for pointing this out. The man even made a big song and dance that he wouldn't do this because he knows full well it's wrong.

KillerTomato7 · 02/12/2024 06:11

TheTidyBear · 02/12/2024 04:54

Yeah, who cares about a meaningless thing like the oath you took when being sworn in as President of the US and the integrity of office when it comes to such things.

But but but but Trump etc. etc.

Totally agree. I genuinely feel depressed reading this nonsense.

Glad someone else sees it.

Its really is beyond belief that a female oriented site is defending the most powerful man on the planet abusing his position to protect his own personal interests.

Thisisunbelievable · 02/12/2024 06:09

thesilvermoon · 02/12/2024 04:12

No, it's a man who knows what's ahead under Trump and has wisely chosen to protect his son from it, while he has the chance. You can't just trust the justice system to do the right thing under Trump.

That’s a good point.

Falseshamrok · 02/12/2024 06:09

Oriunda · 02/12/2024 04:04

Tbh I don’t blame him. Biden knows full well that Trump is going to wreak havoc and fill every position of power with his acolytes. I’d hate to have a child in prison who would be at the mercy of the vengeful orange one. Trump has pardoned all sorts of criminals; at this point there really is no point in playing the nice guy and turning the other cheek.

‘The vengeful orange one’ made me laugh out loud 😂😂

FrostyTheSnowHuman · 02/12/2024 06:07

TheTidyBear · 02/12/2024 05:50

Aye, any sane person would abuse their position of power for their own needs if others have also done so.

That's a great defence for any man that's ever abused their position of power isn't it.

Really priceless stuff on here today

FrostyTheSnowHuman · 02/12/2024 06:05

Cannot believe people are excusing this on the grounds Trump has done/will do similar.

The fact Trump is shamelessly corrupt does not make Biden’s shameless corruption okay.

Haven’t the Dems been going on and on about how the only way to preserve justice and democracy is to vote for them?

I despair.

Thisisunbelievable · 02/12/2024 06:02

Sunflowergirl1 · 02/12/2024 05:54

No different in the Uk. Politicians will lie and do whatever they can get away with. No integrity. I had hoped better from the Labour government but their manifesto has proven to be a tissue of lies as well.

The standard seems to be that no one can be elected telling the truth

Corbyn, love him or loathe him, told the truth. He held on to complexity rather than reducing things down to palatable sound bites. He genuinely cares. He was stubborn about the antisemitism/Zionist stuff where he should have been more robust in his response, because he wouldn’t take a black/white position - he saw it as grey.

But we don’t want that. You are right. We want certainty. Even when there isn’t any.

The USA are so desperate for it they will take it in the form of a giant orange toddler who will say anything with certainty and then say the opposite with the same amount of certainty the next day.

Im just hoping that our current lot will head in the right direction once the financial situation improves. I do think Kier has more integrity than many. Time will tell.
