DH pisses around toilet

PissoirPissedOff · 28/11/2024 21:20

We moved into our new home and the first thing I did was to clean the bathroom, including disinfecting the toilet area which was covered in mouldy spots. Within about an hour, DH had pissed all over the rim of the toilet and the floor just under the toilet had a small puddle of piss. I have asked him not to do this, just to wipe it dry when he misses the bowl. He says this is not his job.

I'm not particularly OCD about this sort of thing, I just like a clean bathroom and would prefer to clean it just once a week rather than daily/hourly.

I AM being unreasonable = This is beyond the scope of what is expected of a normal male in his own home.

I am NOT being unreasonable = Why can't he just make that small effort (quick wipe with tissues) so that I don't have to clean the toilet every day, and to save me getting my toes wet in a puddle of his piss?

Oi, husband of OP, if you are reading this, stop being a dick and clean up after yourself! And yes, it Is Your Job!

Fernticket · 29/11/2024 00:48

Just tell him to Piss Off.

HeadacheEarthquake · 29/11/2024 00:25

New thought. Do you have a nearby forest? He can go and piss there, instead of the bathroom.

Onthemaintrunkline · 29/11/2024 00:20

He’s a dirty disgusting pig. Loved the suggestion up thread that you use his towel/toothbrush to mop it up. Although why you should be going anywhere near it beats me! Put a lock on the door and bar him from using it, tell him to make other arrangements.

LivelyMintViper · 29/11/2024 00:06

If he is that sure there is nothing wrong with his behaviour then he wont object to you conducting a straw pole amongst his friends and family will he? ( But I bet he will!) He knows damn well it's disgusting and I bet he doesn't want anyone else knowing about it

Baby or dog?

There’s no photos of adults on the urine cleaner label:

I love how guilty that baby looks 😂

Smallsalt · 29/11/2024 00:01

Get one of his shirts, wipe the piss off the floor with it and clean the toilet as well. Leave wet stinking shirt on floor. Every Single Time.

PissoirPissedOff · 28/11/2024 22:38

He knows I clean the bathroom once a week and doesn't see why it can't wait until then.

He thinks his piss could stay on the floor for a week? He’s fucking rank 🤢 🤮

ClairDeLaLune · 28/11/2024 23:52

It’s not his job??? Fucking hell he thinks that little of you that he believes it’s your job to clean up his piss?? What a massively entitled twat he is. He has no respect for you at all OP. How can you bear to sleep with him? Or even be in the same room as him. This would be a huge deal breaker for me, please please leave the cunt.

Codlingmoths · 28/11/2024 23:50

Not his job??? Whose fucking job is it then?? When you married him, had he said ‘and do you promise to clean up my piss because as an adult male I’m too fucking busy and special to either aim or wipe it up’ Would you have said ‘I do’ or ‘that’s me out then and you can fuck right off, you need an aged care nurse not a wife’. I hope it’s the latter!! And I hope you do show him this post. I go nuts at my 6 and 9 year old boys, if it were my husband I’d send him out to the garden and he can come back into a civilised house only once he has a plan for delivering on the challenging and complex task of wiping up his own piss.

HerkyBaby · 28/11/2024 23:49

OP you are obviously married to an actual Tom Cat disguised as your husband-they piss all over the place but are meticulous in other areas of their lives - I therefore strongly suggest that you sprinkle cat litter around the base of the toilet as it will help to soak up the urine and help deodorise the stench the stale urine will be causing. If you need to wipe the seat dry before you use it yourself use his flannel/ clean trousers or favourite shirt and don’t tell him.
I’m fairly certain the cat litter technique will make him reappraise his feline/ disgusting tendencies.

StrawberryWater · 28/11/2024 23:47

Dirty bastard.

I think I'd go on strike.

My dh occasionally misses but he cleans up after himself.

Mine misses sometimes especially if he has to get up at night. But he cleans up after himself and on the very rare occasion when he doesn't notice he is mortified and apologetic and then cleans it himself.

We used to live somewhere that he pissed off the balcony into a forest. Quite honestly, I've just realised, I think he's adapting to living indoors! I'll show him this thread in the morning. Fingers crossed 🤞

Well that answers it. So, whilst pissing as a presumably grown adult from balcony he now has, having come back from the wild, to a residential setting, can't control himself to not piss the floor. Ok I won't comment on any of that..

But still your job to clear up his piss (no?).

I hope this is a wind up, but just in case it isn't, be quite clear and and strong in yourself. Don't ever clear up someone's piss just because it's "your job" and " what men do".

TyneTeas · 28/11/2024 23:40

He needs to understand that this is not optional or negotiable. There is no middle ground.

Would he prefer to sit down to pee, or would one of those targets you put in loos for little boys to aim at help...

Kokomjolk · 28/11/2024 23:36

God, have some self respect.

TunipTheVegimal24 · 28/11/2024 23:35

Do you not remember replying to the ad for a "Piss Maid"?

tachetastic · 28/11/2024 23:35

Speaking as a man, this is insane.

In all honesty, men do sometimes miss. If you are standing up you are not always 100% sure of the angle stuff is going to come out and it can take a second to re-aim, by which point some damage is done.

But trust me that every time this has happened in my house I have been wiping up my own mess before anyone else comes in.

This is why carpet in a bathroom is never a good thing. Just saying. 😬😬😬

valentinka31 · 28/11/2024 23:31

I would leave him. Tonight.

GoldenLegend · 28/11/2024 23:28

Good grief. My cat is cleaner than your husband.

Lourdes12 · 28/11/2024 23:28

Clean it up with his towel and toothbrush, see how he likes that

PissoirPissedOff · 28/11/2024 23:26

Pipconkermash · 28/11/2024 23:21

It’s rather bleak that you find this so funny. It’s fucking rank. And his ‘it’s not my job to clean up my own piss, it’s yours, woman,’ is disturbing.

I know! I just get a bit hysterical sometimes at aspects of my own life. And yet I think I get some things really right. This just isn't one of them...!

Pathetic

BettyBardMacDonald · 28/11/2024 23:24

That you are laughing about it is beyond sad.

No matter how much of a lowlife a man is, there apparently always is a woman who will accept it.
