Dee Devlin (Conor McGregor's partner) victim blaming a rape victim

Conor has posted a few times, then deleted, check tatt.le.life thread for the screenshots...but this from Dee is crazy...he went out cheating on you at 8 months pregnant, he's had at least 5 sexual assault claims, he is linked to Irish gangster, he publicly cheated on you several times and poor Nikita was badly bruised and had to have a tampon removed via forceps....will Dee be warning her daughter of men like her father?

Im not blaming her. My orginal post was that I don’t understand the vigils - people turning out to show their support. At what point do people have to take some responsibility for their actions?

if I deliberately decide to bring myself into the company of and go to the hotel room of a notorious monster to get drugged up, a man who has been accused of sexual assault before and whose reputation as a moral-less egomaniac I’d expect trouble. She was a mother, with a partner out with a group off friends - she made choices and I get it very hard to believe that she didn’t know these choices would put her in a very dangerous situation.

i

I'm all for personal responsibility. No one is saying that she didnt make some bad choices. But what about him? What about his personal responsibility, he's not an animal. We really need to move away from speaking about men as if they cannot control themselves. Like they just have these urges and can't stop themselves from attacking and raping women.

And in your previous posts did you not accuse her of lying about the rape for money?

Another way of looking at it: she has 4 kids. No money. Her horrible partner is extremely horrible and very very wealthy indeed. She must doubt whether she would be safe or ever able to see her kids again if she leaves.

100% agree with this. Even if she has money, his connection to gangsters / the most brutal crime gangs who go after people and hospitalise them will hardly make her and her family feel safe if she dares to leave.

Don’t be daft but I’ll try my best and raise my daughters so that they won’t fraternise with monsters like McGregor. I’ll also try and raise them to realise that every choice has consequences and we have to do our best to make the right choices.

Edited

So if your daughter makes a 'wrong choice ' it's on her then. She deserves what occurs? She drinks too much and is assaulted and your reply sounds like 'well you should make better choices'. Good grief it's medieval.

And what if one of your daughters marries a lovely man who is welcomed wholeheartedly by all of you into the family and he rapes her. Will that still be her fault, because she chose to marry a man she didn't know was a rapist?

It's appalling that posters describe victims this way. I'd hoped we moved forward as a society, it appears not.

ContactNightmare · 27/11/2024 11:56

She seems totally content to wheel up, do the support posts, attend court, and benefit from this monstrous man. Her commitment and her posts are odious. He’s a rapist. Mealy mouthed enabler I think.

You are blaming her and your original post was vile. I see its been deleted and a number of posters up thread reported it.

Go look up the meaning of the word 'blame'. He left her black and blue, marks atound her neck, with a tampon that needed surgical removal, no matter how drunk or drugged no one deserves that. He behaved like an animal and you suggested she should have known better. How about the man who is a MMA fighter just doesn't beat up women? Is that too much to ask the stupid entitled man!

Women like you making excuses add to the problem. Don't be an excuser for rapists and men who beat women. Raise your bar a bit.

Why is there much idea that the wife is better than her husband? They both sound like self absorbed scumbags. He’s a monster according to the courts and she is along for the ride. No wonder the victim went public.

Whether she's a victim of domestic abuse or not, we're not aware that she has raped or beaten anyone. So yes, she is much better than her partner.

SkunderlaiSkendi · 27/11/2024 11:47

Shes probably as much a victim

A victim of DV, gaslighting, abuse, normalising abuse, etc etc

Shes now standing by her man and blindly believing his shit

I would not want her life.

I could walk down a street naked off my tits on drugs with a sign saying rape me
and I still wouldn't deserve to be raped
nothing
absolutely fucking nothings woman does makes rape anything other than the fault of the man
fucking hell

hotpotlover · 27/11/2024 11:33

It would be better for her to stfu.

No matter what her opinion is.

I also saw a video on Instagram of Connor touching another woman flirtatiously in front of his wife.

It would be better if @MNHQ could do something, at least 2 of us have reported

Holymoleyitscold · 27/11/2024 11:34

Blaming the victim of a sexual assault that left her injured and needing assistance at hospital isn't a great look.

No wonder these men feel entitled to continue

@Holymoleyitscold glad to hear it. I'm curious though, what do you think Nikita should have done after being raped and assaulted?

Do you think she should have swept it under the carpet because she initiated contact that night and took drugs and alcohol? Was she wrong to seek justice?

Tiredandteasytoday · 27/11/2024 11:25

vibratosprigato · 27/11/2024 10:50

@Holymoleyitscold if you read about the case you would also know that she was pretty much covered head to toe in bruising (all four limbs, her neck, her hands etc). She had to have her tampon removed with forceps because it was lodged at the top of her vagina. Staff said they either hadn't seen anything so severe before, or hadn't for a long time. She had her house broken into, her partner stabbed etc.

I find it pretty repugnant that you say you don't have any sympathy for this woman.

Maybe she did want to party with him, it's not unusual for young women to seek attention from rich, influential, celebrities. That does not mean that those men are within their rights to beat and rape those women after supplying them with drugs and alcohol.

This woman has never tried to present herself as perfect, that was made quite clear in the trial. It doesn't mean she had it coming to her though and that sentiment is foul.

Awful isn't it that some mumsnetters think she asked for it. What century do we live in.

Appalling how women excuse men, especially rich, well known men. Apparently she deserved it is alive and well on MN.

Holymoleyitscold · 27/11/2024 11:23

Raffaelli · 27/11/2024 11:08

So you think even if consenting to sex then, that it is OK for a world champion MMA fighter to beat a woman black and blue during the act? Nice.

@Raffaelli Absolutely not. Have I not described McGregor as evil and without morals?

Superworm24 · 27/11/2024 11:23

What do you want his partner to say? You think he doesn't knock her about? Rape her? She's probably scared for her life.

Holymoleyitscold · 27/11/2024 11:19

vibratosprigato · 27/11/2024 11:18

@Holymoleyitscold yes I read that the friend claimed to have consensual sex with her. Contrary to your response to another poster, this alleged intercourse was not in front of anyone else. There were no witnesses to that. I also read that she has no recollection of it and there was no DNA evidence to support it. It's a pretty common theory that Connor and his friend claimed this to discredit her. Connor conveniently paid his legal bills.

Regardless of your views of this woman's intentions or capabilities as a mother, she was assaulted. This has been proven in a court of law. I sincerely hope that you aren't exposing any of these beliefs to your children if you have them.

Funny enough I wouldn’t expose my children to anything like this unlike the two people discussed.
